I’ve sort of modified my Adkins routine, as well. I’m eating ANY/All fresh fruits and Vegtables, but without sauces and other carb/calorie laden stuff in them.
I’m avoiding bread, pasta and potatoes, except at on rare occasions.
You are doing exactly what the Atkins program tells you to do. After an initial 2 weeks only on the 20 grams of carbs a day, you add back complex carbs which are found in fruits and veggies. You monitor the intake with an eye on weight loss. If you stop losing weight you cut back on the carbs, if you keep losing weight you are taking in the correct number.
