In the news...
Russia is planning to build the world's longest tunnel. In a project being coordinated with the United States and Canada, and to which the nations of Japan, China, and South Korea have also expressed an interest in aiding, the Russians desire to build a 64-mile, three-section, highway, rail, power, fiber-optic tunnel across the Bering Strait to Alaska. The tunnel complex would cross the strait and would link to two islands across its route (thus three sections). It is expected the project would cost $12 billion--the Chinese have indicated they will fund a portion, and it will enable the shipment of Russian oil and gas to America..
A court in Montgomery county, Virginia, had found Sueng-Hui Cho, the VT madman, "mentally ill" and potentially dangerous. Specifically, the detention order has stated "presents an imminent danger to himself as a result of mental illness", and "presents an imminent danger to others as a result of mental illness". The court then let him go--allowing outpatient treatment. That was December 2005.
While the Supreme Court victory on abortion really didn't stop the vicious murdering of viable fetuses (read the opinion, sorry folks, its true) insofar as the fetus could still be killed inside the mother and then removed, there is nevertheless very good news in what the Supreme Court ruled. It may be possible to outlaw specific procedures, or even enhance the current law, so the grusome D&E process can be stopped once and for all. The Supreme Court made it very clear the process of abortion can, in fact, be regulated--although it cannot be stopped. The wording hung its hat on words like "viable", "other options", "delivery milestones", and so on. Thus, regulation of the process through appropriate legislation is now possible. The left is crying foul, so they can see this way forward too.
About a month or so ago, the DJIA crashed, taking with it two percent of its total value in one day. The left was screaming this was the end of the economic boom. Yesterday, the DJIA closed above 12,800 for the first time.

I may stagger my “memorial” contributions as we are doing other stuff thta I can’t just stop, so I need to divide the contributions over time. Last night we feed the ESOL students and their families (about 40 including the children in the childcare center). They are always so appreciative of the meal. Interestingly, Ishmael, son of Haggar and Abraham, Jews consider to be an evil outsider. But Islamists...and here's where it gets interesting for me re Cho...consider Ishmael to be the father of Arabs and revere him.
All the info so far about the deranged monster, Cho, point IMO to not just a perverted need for attention but to an attempt to emulate terrorist suicide bombers, who also left behind videos of themselves.
Even w/the excuse being offered of his mental illness, I cannot forgive what he did. He was not a victim, as he claims, but a perpetrator.
He fed his inner rage and resentments until they erupted in the killing of innocents....just as terrorists do.
The danger now for us all is that there might very well be more like him....anywhere...imitators, hoping for their own 15 minutes.

Fox is going to read some of the e-mails they have received. I would say you are right...BIG backlash on this as it offered no new information but simply gave the guy a platform.
