My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good afternoon! I see your sleeping pattern has skewed again. I find it interesting because I can’t change my pattern and I want to.

Knowing it was going to be raining today, I worked hard outside yesterday. Didn’t get far, but it was hard. :)

Slept for ages and woke up feeling used, but pretty good.

How’s by you?

He’s always falling over laughing!

Couple of families I know will be cruising by you this summer. I can’t wait to hear the stories and see the photos.

Some friends went up several years ago (everyone’s going) and their photos were wonderful!

I am sorry your knee is causing you pain.
I broke my knee in 1965 and it still misbehaves!

“I find it interesting because I can’t change my pattern and I want to.”

Try sleeping with the lights on. A doctor friend of mine once told me a way to get time and body in sync quickly. Humans are photo acuitive. we sense light even when asleep. Partly from this data we set our internal clocks. One of the ways to get over jet lag is to sleep the first night in a strange place with the lights on. (Yes you can do it.) The body will rest, and upon waking your body clock begins to set to the time you woke up as your ‘normal’ time. Thus, your sleep times and wake times are shifted to a new schedule. This has worked for me over the last forty years traveling for companies that sent me hither and yon (often on a whim I thought!) It has given me a chance to adjust far easier then just waking up and trying to convince my clock to shift through rote.

Sorry I have not been in the Lair. Been staying off my feet.

Meg, thank you for the gorgeous picture.

Lady, yes my sleep patterns are skewed again especially when I crash early I then wake early.

Johnn, I have a torn meniscus muscle in my knee. It gets very painful at times.

See you all tomorrow. ;)

Hi Kathy, you get some sleep. *HUGS*

NYA, hope your day went well and your evening is restful.

Sleep,
that time to rest
to recharge
to reweave a tattered soul
I bid you sweet dreams
and sweet peace
until the first kiss of coming dawn

A wonderful bird is the pelican
His bill can hold more than his belican
He can take in his beak
Food enough for a week

Good day to you Lady Jag! LOL funny poem and great graphic.

How goes the day?

Weather wise it’s dark with drizzle, temps are not too, bad.

It’s greening up nicely outside. I have some Japanese Quince budded, I think I will bring some little branches inside. I do so love Quince. Gorgeous color.

Saturday seemed to need a little chuckle.

We were told to expect a rainy day. It’s sunny and pretty around 60 with a slight breeze. Unlike our southern friends, we’re outside in tee shirts and shorts, finally able to get out and do some gardening.

It still may cloud up later this after and rain and I guess that’s pretty much the forecast for the next several days, might rain, might not.

May your heart be full of sun.

Temperature is climbing. It’s 65 now and humid! Humidity must be from yesterday’s rain.

Working on a few birdfeeders, at times a weighty job, got me overheated. I definitely need to get accustomed to warmth. I will never become accustomed to humidity!

I can’t take humidity either, just cannot bear it.

Dry heat is fine, I can deal with it, but the kind of weather we have on the East Coast is always hot and humid.

I don’t have bird feeders any more the squirrels ate the last one I had. There are not many good places to hang a hummingbird feeder either. ;(
