AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2270) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 11, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 04/11/2007 4:30:59 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

Speaker Pelosi indicates that she wants to "open a dialog" with Iran.

Gonzales has been subpoenaed by the House Judiciary Committee.

DemoncRATS said that a draft report on voter fraud, that said it was nonexistant, was altered by Republicans to insist that the matter was not settled.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

FNC Alert: Fred Thompson announces he has lymphoma.

This is horrible for him; my prayers for a full recovery.

Oh, no. I pray that the improved treatment for this dreaded form of cancer will cure him. (My husband died w/lymphoma, but some patients do survive it.)

I gather than Thompson has known about this for years and has been in remission for some period of time. He was interviewed by Neil Cavuto and that interview will be shown later today.

So.....it is not a reoccurance but a condition that is under control? I pray that is the case.

Yes, it’s been three years, it’s in remission, and he says he expects to live a long time.

I think the media uses any kind of racial “slur” as a means of dividing this country. I heard some sofa company put a tag on their sofas that has put some blacks in an uproar. What it is, I don’t know. I also think there are a lot of people, not only those of the minority group, who are on a constant lookout for something to get ticked off about. But I blame the media for keeping this racial (black) thingy going.

Good Morning. I left my coat at home on Monday when I returned to DM for the week.

There’s a blizzard out there this morning. It’s slush falling from the sky. The roads are a real mess.

Bad news about Fred Thompson. If it’s in remission, I’m wondering if he’s not getting this information out there before he announces in order to let the public digest this. I can see the RATS using his health against him, but given that he’s been working for the past 3 years, it would seem he is well able to manage his illness.

This medical condition might also explain his previous retirement from the U.S. Senate.

Going into lurking mode.

I couldn’t quite tell, Carolinamom. I think it’s a condition that’s under control.

Lots of out-of-town errands with my husband today; bbl.

Yes, I'll bet that's true. No doubt the media will make a big deal of this in hopes of sinking his possible run for POTUS.

You needed a new coat, anyway?

The media is trying to sink ALL of the candidates except those who don't have a chance of getting the nomination. Should Brownback, Tancredo, or Hunter suddenly gain traction, we will hear stories about them as well.

I am pretty much ignoring ALL the stories on the candidates and will wait until I can see some of them in the debates before I make any sort of judgement at all. And even then I will probably remain on the sidelines.

I am tired of the press yanking our chains, and I refuse to play their game.

I bought 2 new spring coats last year. There was/is no way I can make a practical decision to purchase another one.

I am toughing it out. Fiscal Conservative that I am.

I will not leave home without my coat again until the 4th of July.

Thank you for the links to some great articles again, Molly.

It’s snowing again in central MN. Forecast is for warming this weekend so hopefully we’ll see the last of this winter weather. I looked at my calendar for last year and noted I planted potatoes, radishes and lettuce on April 13th. Dont’ think that will happen this year.

Thanks ladies!

Your planting schedule...how far behind last years date, MN, do you think it'll be? 2 weeks?

The daffodils in the neighborhood are a little droopy, but otherwise don't look to bad. The earliest tuplips: No sign of them...I have a few blooms on my candytuft, and that may be it...

How're you today, lysie?

Well I finished the book about the Origins of the British, but it was very poorly written and organized. Cannot recommend it.

Now I've got the short book Calvin Trillin wrote about his wife Alice: "About Alice"....it's supposed to be good, but trouble is: he's a terrible Bush hater...so I guess I'll hold my nose...Interestingly, Alice died of heart failure on Sept 11 in a NY hospital.

Another book I'm reading is: The Country of the Pointed Firs by Sarah Orne Jewett.

It's very fine...short portraits of a land - coastal Maine - and its people at the end of the 1800s. There is much that is human and lovely about the author's descriptions. Anyone interested especially in Maine should read the book.

oh yes! We were there briefly the summer of’74. I’d love to go back. Do you like it?? I have a friend who went there regularly for years to a reunion...now she doesn’t get there much and she misses it.
