Sharpton (and Jesse Jackson) have made an industry of claiming racial victimhood. As long as they can make money doing this, they will continue. The media has played along with this as a way to bash Republicans.
Now Imus's coarseness (a la Howard Stern) has collided with the victim industry. The media, who has encouraged both strains of public behavior, is now caught in the middle. They can't support Imus, and they can't diss Sharpton.
I imagine this story will go on for some time, unfortunately.
This country would be in a lot better shape if the professional trash-talkers and the professional victims would find themselves out of work.

Jason came out real good in his going over by the medical foster care check up yesterday except he has a slight speech problem and may or may not be corrected but you can bet we all will be working with him to correct the problem.
Just wanted t get up and running and now over to the big house to engage in conversation with the kids.

Just heard a news report that all charges against the 3 Duke Lacrosse players have been dropped. Waiting to get more details.
My husband told our young daughters that if they really wanted to be noticed, then they should speak, act, and dress like ladies.
The media would really be noticed, too, if they had the courage to stand for accuracy and decency rather than following the herd of Bush haters, rap music admirers, anti-Christians; etc. etc.
Your husband managed without be deawn intothe coarseness himself to hit the nail right on the head!
I missed that but this was something that had to be done, so many charge someone with a crime for strange reasons when one did not happen.

Not only have all charges been dropped against the Duke lacrosse players but they have asked that their court fees be reimbursed. Costs thus far are approx. $3 million.
I hope they get that and more and hope the civil lawsuits expose the agenda that was at work in Durham.
