Yes, she’s come up with stuff in the past that didn’t pan out.

That is what i was thinkin...she looks normal, not drugged and she looks happy. He looks like he really cares about her. I saw a bit on Bravo with Larry talking and lots of pics of the two of them...and IMO they both looked very happy and in love. Too bad things did not work out for them

Thanks for the articles, Rte66!

I didn't think they were going for custody after the DNA test, but I lot of people have been getting that wrong it seems. Now that I had his name, I found this video that confirms it:

If you read between the lines, it's my guess they'll at least go after recouping the legal fees for Virgie's trouble.

There's no talk about something "huge" coming in this video however, that was said in the articles you posted. I wonder if that's still coming?

That team keeps such a low-profile, it's hard to read what they are planning.

But for HKS and drugs, their lives might have been different.

Fox does have a good court show. Greta Van Sustern.

I have come to respect her a lot, through the Nifong thing and the ANS story. The only thing she really hasn't covered is the angle of the ANS story, that puts Brigitte (King Eric's consort) in the hotel room at the time of ANS's death, along with Taz.

Brigette gave an interview to Rita Cosby, and explained that she was there......but nobody has picked up on that part of the story. If Taz was too busy giving CPR to call 911, then there is no reason why Brigitte couldn't call. It's simple CPR protocal, and they didn't follow it.

I think some of these folks are starting to scrape for a “storyline” and reaching at this point.

LB is not as stupid as some think...his family appears to be bright and well spoken as well. I do wish he would get a sharp business/corporate attorney involved (and who knows...maybe he has).

Oh, I'm sure it will happen. There are very few on television that haven't completely lost my respect.

But compare Greta's reports on the story to Court TV?

Court TV is way too much editorializing and way too little reporting.

I'll never forget Nancy Grace propping up Perper for one solid month, while he appeared on her show every night! What a joke.

That's a very interesting one-way conversation since Anna's not around to confirm it.

Notice he says they were "icing her down" and she had a fever the last couple days....So, it sounds like this was maybe Wednesday...the day she was found lolling in an empty tub...which I think was the same day she was popping chocolates with Moe

So did she often talk to Rale??.....or is this such a rare exception that it raises a flag.

I don't believe Anna talked to him at all. It had to be Howard. KE would/will be Howard's witness to this phone call. I don't think Rale knew what was going on though....so he's leaving a lot of things out.

Why would he even talk to Anna?

No, this has something to do with the Fax dated the 3rd. AND HE SAID HE TALKED TO HER THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS....not just on a single day.

She sounded great?? Why would Ron even mention meds AND drugs? We didn't know what she died from at the time. It could have been heart failure for all we know.

Remember, Ron was Howard's friend.

Was she popping Flurtz Chocolates?? (Just a thought!)

Rales statement is TMI...Too Much Information!!!!!!!

oh here we go with the fever and icing down again(noone seems to know when that happen, in The Bahamas, on Tues or Wed or it was said she was being iced dn when HKS went on the boat)If the 4 people in the room cant get that straight, how can we believe anything they have to say? ...and how did she end up in a dry tub?...and how was she turning purple with a nurse in her room? IMO ANS was NEVER feeling better...it was all down hill once they got her in that room...

Concerns Over Magistrate’s Talk With Press

By Quincy Parker

Supreme Court Justice John Lyons has expressed grave concerns about the interaction between judicial officers and the press and, in what some called an ironic twist, has questioned whether Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez should be allowed to hear the Daniel Smith inquest.
Mr. Lyons, the senior commercial judge on the Supreme Court bench, was on Thursday hearing an application by lawyers for the late Anna Nicole Smith’s live-in lawyer Howard K. Stern, who has challenged the constitutionality of the Coroners Act.

Mr. Lyons noted that he’d seen a brief “teaser” on television while “channel-surfing” on Wednesday night. In the promo segment, a television network show foreshadowed an interview with Mr. Gomez, the coroner in the inquest, who was shown saying that some aspects of the inquest would be “interesting.”

“That floors me; I’ll be honest with you,” he said. “I’m not terribly keen on the idea of judicial officers giving interviews to the press.”

Mr. Lyons said he hadn’t seen the actual interview, just the teaser promoting it. He made clear that he had not seen Mr. Gomez say anything improper since he hadn’t seen the interview, but that he was concerned.

He said he was concerned that a judge would speak to the press on a matter before him. Mr. Lyons said that in three decades on the bench, he had never once seen a judge give an interview in those circumstances.

“We’re not all here to make headlines; we’re here to do justice,” he said.

Former Chief Coroner Linda Virgill was criticized by many people last year for speaking to the press regarding an inquest into Daniel Smith’s death.

The reaction was so harsh that Mrs. Virgill was stripped of her designation as Chief Coroner and Chief Justice Sir Burton Hall scrapped 13 years of practice in The Bahamas, reverting to every magistrate in the pool acting as coroner.

Sir Burton told the Journal last year that while it had always been his intention to revert to this practice, Mrs. Virgill’s decision to talk to the press about the inquest sped up his timeframe.

Mr. Stern’s constitutional challenge, filed two weeks ago, brought the inquest into the sudden death of Ms. Smith’s son to a screeching halt. Daniel Smith died on September 10 of reported complications due to a drug overdose.

The aim of the inquest is to discover the legal cause of his death, and Mr. Stern was concerned that the seven-member jury would not be impartial because of the intense press coverage of the matter.

Mr. Stern is said to be especially concerned by the fact that some people have painted him, as Mr. Lyons termed it Thursday morning, “as the villain of the piece.”

His lawyers want Mr. Gomez – the coroner in this inquest – to issue a questionnaire to the jury, something the Coroner’s Act does not allow. According to Mr. Stern’s lawyers, this may abridge Mr. Stern’s Constitutional right to a trial by a fair and impartial jury, hence the challenge.

Mr. Lyons was quite blunt.

“I’m amazed that whenever anybody sees a camera they seem to gravitate towards it,” the judge said of the lawyers involved in the matter.

Mr. Lyons was on the verge of tossing Mr. Stern’s constitutional challenge of the Coroners Act on Thursday morning because no lawyer had shown up for him when Wayne Munroe, one of Mr. Stern’s team of lawyers, showed up.

Mr. Stern was reportedly the only other person in the room with Ms. Smith when Daniel Smith died, and Mr. Gomez has said that his testimony now becomes vital to the proceedings.

Mr. Lyons gave the parties involved about a month to prepare their submissions and affidavits, and then on May 22 the parties will meet to set a date for the application to be heard.

In that time, he said, he would also try to see the actual interview Mr. Gomez gave.

Added to hearing the application challenging the Coroners Act, Mr. Lyons gave notice that he would also consider whether Mr. Gomez should be allowed to hear the inquest.

All parties agreed to ask Mr. Gomez to hold the proceedings in the inquest until after the application is heard.

Jamie Floyd was on Court TV lamenting how sorry she felt for HKS - that he had lost everything. What a crock! The woman is absolutely shameless and dumb as they come.

I have lost all respect for Jamie Floyd and most of what Court TV is supposed to represent.

Instead of reporting in a Statement of Facts presentation, which one would expect coming from them, they muddle, omit and skew the facts, presenting nothing more then an oblique and very emotionally slanted front page. Hysteria comes to mind watching some of them.

This doesn't leave room for the viewer to make educated decisions. They've done it for them already. When that happens, it's considered nothing more then propaganda. Propaganda that the viewer will come to resent when they have to struggle to arrive at an unbiased truth. There's clearly nothing but agendas to be found in Floyd's very opinionated mouth and surreptitious teleprompter. Even if I agreed with her opinions (which are almost always stated as fact), I disagree with propagandizing her position.

One day maybe we'll see a show that exposes these types of reporters and what exactly was negotiated to get those very obvious agendas out there.

I gathered a few posts that tell what's been going on this morning.  So far most of the news has come from Court TV and Lizarde's reporting.  Lots of theories and additional info in between.

here’s the question about HKS and does he have to stay in the Bahamas - they are not saying on Court TV that there is an order - M. Bryant doesn’t know.

4,370 posted on 04/13/2007 12:43:10 PM EDT by Lizarde

ok that didn’t make sens!: What I meant was the house issue can not be resolved until the will is probated and the proper person is in place as representative of the estate - this is a very sane decisision.

4,382 posted on 04/13/2007 1:12:23 PM EDT by Lizarde

I am so excited - I don’t think the people on TV will get it but who cares - the fact is the Bahamas DOES NOT consider HKS as ANS legal representative - and we have reciprocity I think so the Bahamas ruling should matter - and this should include the hiring of Lin Wood - per the Bahamas court HKS can not represent or stand in the place of ANS until the will is probated - yipee

Fox News reporter saying KE and Kapoor both under investigation. People who know KE say she is the teflon doc, nothing sticks to her and they fear she might escape punishment this time, also. They had another name for her, but I can’t recall it. It wasn’t a flattering nickname.

More coming about ANS story on Fox News now.
