As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Globull warming has struck.
Measureable snowfall in Northern Virginia for the first time in 17 years. There is a total of 0.3" on the deck; in 1990, it snowed 1.1". All raised surfaces are white. (NWSFO Sterling, officially, says the snowfall is a "trace", meaning less than 0.05", but maybe that's at the airport...) Algore--wish to explain this?
One of those "fringe" scientists who isn't "with the program", one who might actually know a thing or two about the subject, Dr. Gray--who is probably the leading hurricane climatologist in the world--called Algore a "gross alarmist". More to the point, Dr. Gray also said: He's one of these guys that preaches the end of the world type of things. I think he's doing a great disservice and he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Certainly, looking out the window and seeing white everywhere as the middle of April looms, yes, I agree, Algore doesn't know what he's talking about.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Mama is at peace with the decision she and Daddy have made; after all, she knows what will happen to her next, where she will go and Who she will be with once she dies.
Her body is quite weak and she is in quite a bit of pain, but her mind remains strong and her spirit seems, to me, to be considerably stronger and happier than Ive seen in several weeks. She and Daddy celebrate the joy of life each day.
This weekend, my brother and I have brought our families down to love on Grandma. My brother has brought his new son to show off to Mama, so she has finally gotten to meet both of the new grandchildren. Its a houseful this weekend, loud and raucous, but I like to think that even though it might be a little wearying for Mama with all this untamed ENERGY around, shes enjoying all six grandkids and the life and joy that children bring to all of us.
If you would, keep Mama in your prayers. If nothing else, please pray that God will comfort her and ease her pain. Emotionally, I think shes doing pretty OK. But physically, she has a good bit of pain, and I would appreciate your continued prayers for her, and particularly that her pain be relieved.
Mama doesnt get to the computer much any more, so I dont know that she will be able to reply to each of you, but she wanted me to share an update of her situation with you. If someone would please copy this post to ATRW for me, Id be much obliged. If you would like to send Mama a card, please message me privately, and I will let you know how to get in touch with Mama via snail mail.
Love to all of you, from Mama and from me.
(Posted by Poppyseed on Kay's prayer thread today.)
As always, Kay, you and yours remain in my prayers, at the center of my heart.
Please delete #41, it is a duplicate of #40.:)
Glad to hear about your Dad; boy, you guys have had your plate full for awhile, haven’t you?
Thank you, Molly, for letting us know. To you and your family, kayak and poppyseed, please know that you are in my heart and my fervent prayers. It sounds like the love you share is so very strong that your prayers can’t help but be heard!
Thanks Granny. The plants sit below the ledge and seem to be ok, but I think I’d better cover them with a drop cloth.
You should see the snow!!!!!!!! WOW! It’s sticking to the balcony deck and golf course. Imagine snow the day before Easter. The Lord is Good.
We just tried to let Beanie out for a few minutes, ‘cause she’s been in for a few hours. WELL, guess what, she walked out on the patio with us, but would go no further. I went out and got snowed on, but not her. No siree.
lysie, has black-cat tried your homecooking yet?
Thank you, for some ideas to save my plants. I appreciate it.
Sweet friend, prayers continue for you, Mr. kayak and your family. LUV you. till
Thank you for posting the update. Kay, as always, you are in our prayers. Poppy, you also and the rest of your family are in our prayers. I enjoyed very much getting to me both Kay and Mr. Kayak. They are wonderful people and I am blessed by having known them. I love you all and I’ll be seeing them later on.
Christ has conquered death! Happy Ressurection Sunday!
Love you my Perry Como admirer friend..
*sob* sorry!!
I posted on the prayer thread & will NOT duplicate here. Thanks for bringing over the message to both Molly & Mozie.. better duplication than not at all.
Lysie, glad to read about the good success re: your dad. I pray he continues to gain in strength & is home soon.
There are a lot of ATRWers with prayer needs and my guess is we don't even know (publicly) half of them
God is Good. Life is confusing. Death is Conquered , yes Jemian. PTL
I broke down and bought more canned. Still, his nose was up for a few minutes...since it was about split 3 ways, canned, homemade and dried.
I don't call him Mr. Naughtiness for no reason.
I have had at least 10 cats in my lifetime and I have never had one with his personality.
Know why? Sarah bought him....LOL
kayak, you remain in my prayers dear. It was my privilege to meet you on FR and get to know you better on ATRW.
I’m so happy to read that you are seeing and celebrating new grandchildren and surrounded by so much love. May God bless you all.
Love you, too. ((Dolly))
Extra prayers will be said tonight at Easter Vigil. I sure wish I could do something else to help. You are such a dear friend. God bless you and your family.
Time to get ready for church. Extra big heavy duty prayers to be lifted for a certain someone...............
might later post a few pix of live station of cross service from last night.. both of you have good services...
Thank you Molly and Mozie for bringing over the news about Kay.
You continue to be in my prayers, Kay. May you find Peace and Comfort in our Risen Lord.
So Sarah bought a twerpey cat? LOL Sounds like you’re feeling better.
It’s still snowing down here. Twas the night before Easter and all through house, the only one moving was the mouse.
Mozie and Molly, thank you for letting us know.
Kay, you have been my mentor on ATRW and my inspiration on the Dose. I have learned much from you and have prayed for you unceasingly. Those prayers and my love continue to surround and embrace you.
