Maine Mouse taunts man, steals his dentures
Never underestimate a mouse's determination.
There's a mouse in Bill Exner's house that he says he has captured three times. Each time, the mouse escaped, and the last time the rodent made off with his lower dentures.
Exner, 68, of Waterville, Maine, said he and his wife Shirley scoured his bedroom after the dentures disappeared from his night stand.

"We moved the bed, moved the dressers and the night stand and tore the closet apart," he said. "I said, 'I knew that little stinker stole my teeth' - I just knew it." They found a small opening in a wall where they suspected the mouse was coming and going, and their daughter's fiance, Eric Holt, stepped in to help.
"He brought a crowbar and hammer and he sawed off a section of wood and pulled up the molding and everything," Exner said. "It was quite a job."
They retrieved the dentures, and Holt suggested his future father-in-law boil them in peroxide and whatever else he could find to disinfect it.
The mouse apparently isn't done. It frequently comes out and stares at Exner, his wife said.
"He's taunting him - I swear he's taunting him," Shirley Exner said.

A funny story for a Sunday afternoon.
The way I deal with mice, you can only experience one time with each mouse.
This man is in need of a cat!
That's not fummy!/s
That was my first thought....a kitty knows how to take care of those problems.
Go adopt a cat.
"Go adopt a cat."
Or buy a .22.
Or both, then again I love cats and guns
Cheers!
actually, a terrier would be better. A cat would play with the mouse and let it go, a small dog will kill it and go looking for another one. I had good results with a dachshund but he was an extraordinary animal all around.
A RAT would have taken his wallet, too.
Bump
I got a couple of mice with a BB pistol. Less noise, and less collateral damage. Although they have .22 shotgun loads.
That mouse must be a distant relative of the killer rabbit that chased Jimmy Carter years ago.
Very appropriate for today! I cleaned out the Feed Room in the chicken coop and found a nest of six RATS.
Because this is a family site, I won't go into further detail. I did not, however, come across any dentures in their rat nest, LOL!
LOL, you mean you didn't release them back into the wild?
I'm calling PETA.
I have a big old neutered Tom cat that takes care of our varmits. In fact, I had to put a protective shield around a birdhouse today (a bird is building a nest in my See Rock City birdhouse that I use for decoration on my deck) and Tsali, the cat, has taken notice. How is your dog?
I've got my garden out, with onions, lettuce, radishes,
peas, bell peppers, some herbs and asparagus planted. Need to get sme green beans in tomorrow. The onions, radishes, lettuce and garlic are already up and I'll be eating nice salads from them soon.
I saw a little fawn the other day too at my feeder with a group of does. I LOVE spring, especially after a depressing winter.
