Someone in Congress just read the Zumbo affair into the Congressional Record to promote the AWB II. The way is now clear: another congressman can read Zumbo's apology and reversal, or even get Zumbo himself to speak, into the Record. Dunno how to get the idea to the right people, but hopefully someone here can.

If not, I'm wondering.... maybe, from now on, the members of every gun group -- NRA, GOA, 2AF, state groups, local groups, etc. -- should BOMBARD the politicians/police/etc. of ANY town where this kind of nonsense happens.Maybe when they realize they're going to get half a million letters delivered to their office EVERY time this happens, plus all kinds of unwanted national publicity, they might think twice about pulling this kind of crap.
What do you think? With the ease of transmitting information on the Internet, I think it could work. It would serve the very purpose you described.
