A late-season winter storm caused havoc and numerous flight cancellations along the Atlantic seaboard. In Washington, snow totals were generally between 1 and 3 inches, but this approaches (though doesn's surpass) records for this late in Winter. Where's Algore?

Not in Boston, anyhow--but nevertheless, as activists were preparing to start a globull awareness walk, mother nature intervened with a powerful snowstorm.

Iran has stated it will not bow to international pressure to stop its atomic development efforts. Iran's President stated the UN has no legitimacy to force it to stop--at the same time asking the UN to protect Iran's right to proceed.

And, lysie, thanks for getting us going yesterday--I arrived safely home yesterday afternoon, just before the ice started ramping up locally.

Good morning! I will be here until about 11:00 AM, when I have to get ready for noon Mass. Hubby has to be at that mass today for RCIA so our schedule is a bit different today.

Still cold, although they promise things will get warmer this week.

Friday afternoon we went to the flower and patio show. Saw some interesting products, looked at a new shed for the mower and stuff, and looked at the display gardens.

As usual, the emphasis was on structures (ponds, fountains, walls, walks) as opposed to the plants. Huge garden that was mostly water and circular concrete platforms staggered across it, with some circles devoted to entertaining and others holding a fire pit, etc.

Most interesting trend...fountains and fire MIXED. We saw fire in a raised platform with water flowing out of a waterfall behind it. Another place had flames coming out of the top of a platform while water flowed out below. My husband said it was "too Las Vegas" which I thought was a good description.

Very interesting. Most telling how the Oklahoma Bombing was handled by the msm and whitehouse at that time. I wish Terry would write a book about the incident. We'd learn what really went on.
