AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 2238 and 2239) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | March 10, 2007 | All of Us

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

[ADOBE PDF READER REQUIRED FOR THE FOLLOWING LINK]

Appellants contest the district court’s dismissal of their complaint alleging that the District of Columbia’s gun control laws violate their Second Amendment rights. The court held that the Second Amendment (“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”) does not bestow any rights on individuals except, perhaps, when an individual serves in an organized militia such as today’s National Guard. We reverse.

Thus rules the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Greg visits his mom each week. She seems to be better ..a little... today...drinking and eating on her own. :-)

Last week, I went to spend time..it was not good. I wanted Greg to be alone with her today. Thank goodness...she even had several conversations with him. *big smile*

((hugs)) Know this time of life is hard for both of you. Just place everything in the Lord's hands and He will see you through.

Did you see my computer question Lysie? I absolutely HATE that stoopid swinging monkey and the snake!

It is still raining. Andy is convinced he is going to melt if he goes out into it to take a tinkle. I am POSITIVE he is going outside and am about to show him he won't melt!

I'll check back later to read what all of you computer genius folks have come up with for my monkey/snake problem.

I have shut my computer down, but the dang monkey and snake are still there! How can I get rid of them?

This definitely sounds like a problem John can address. LOL!

I think my FReepmail got there too late, but glad you turned into a computer geek. Keep it to yourself or your neighbors will be asking you to make housecalls.

Hi, Toby. I've written the name of that book down and will check out the library web site; if they don't have it, they're very helpful and order whatever I request. I'm always on the lookout for recommended books; thank you!

We went to a big wedding tonight. I hadn't been in a Methodist church in years and had to ask the usher if we genuflect before getting into a pew. He was a 25 year old kid but when I got the blank look, I realized that people don't genuflect at Methodist churches. LOL

The food was surprisingly good but the band was noise splittingly loud and since my husband isn't feeling terribly well, we left earlier than planned. I'm not going to church tomorrow because I want to keep my eye on him. He rarely complains of feeling unwell so I'm concerned.

Whew... what an evening.

The gatherers included my boss and his wife, a colleague and her husband, and a neighbor and his wife.

I'll fill you in tomorrow.

Good night!

Yawn... Good Morning!

Had a wonderful evening last night with my boss, wife, and friends. The corned beef turned out perfect, as did the rest of the meal.

I was a little hesitant in serving a Riesling with the dinner, but it complimented the meal so well.

Plenty of Irish Soda Bread was left over, so we sent some home with all of the couples who attended the dinner party.

Good morning to the Dawn Patrol.

The clocks may 'spring forward' today, but my body has not. I have never been convinced that this artificial time/clock changing is valid.

Good morning, Yank. Your menu had me salivating here in NC. Good friends + good food = happy occasion. Congratualtions to you, the host.

Good Morning!

We had a great evening. It's always a challenge to find good cuts of meat, but our local grocery store, County Market, came through.

A week ago I order 2 corned beef rounds, which are more tender than the brisket, and they came through in spades. Picked them up Friday evening and they were perfect, with very little fat content. They were very tender when presented for dinner, and so I was ever thankful.

We do the whole thing again next week at my mom's, as most of my family is coming in for that St. Patrick's Day dinner.

I am with you on that time changing thing. I liked having the sun coming up early. Now we gotta wait another month before the sun is up when I get up.

But at least we will have a little more of daylight left in the evening.
