My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I just saw the male Cardinal feed the female for the first time this year..a sure sign it's spring here! I'll be feeding juveniles this summer.
My gray fox came about 6am and stayed long enough for my best look yet ..He was beautiful. He nibbled on some seed for the first time and drank out of the birdbath instead of just "marking " it.
The Robins and Waxwings have not made an appearance for a few days and have probably gone north now that it is warming up.
The doves are cooing sweet songs..

I planted that vine in 1995, it has never failed to bloom and amazes me yearly with the abundance of her blooms.
Some years I have counted well over one hundred.

I love to see the male cardinal feed his bride, lovely sight.
Oh, you have a fox who visits you, wonderful. I love those animals. I've seen red fox come around just a dusk, not here in the city, but out at the city lines. Love them. We get the Waxwings here lovely birds. Ah, the doves, I have them too.

Gorgeous outside, I've had windows open all day. Been a zombie today, mostly sleeping. Have to go out and teach art class tonight.

Sleep is good. Love the little graphic. Have a good class tonight. ;)
Love the graphic you posted, flowers arching the span of a bridge.

Bluebirds are gone from the feeders because

I hope to see it this year. The story is simple.
Bridge of Flowers
Every year visitors from around the world stroll across the Bridge of Flowers and enjoy the beauty of this unusual garden - the only one of its kind in the world. Last year more than 24,000 visitors signed the guest book. The Bridge of Flowers is meticulously tended by the Shelburne Falls Women's Club. Over 500 varieties of flowers, vines and shrubs assure a 400-foot span of continual blooming from the pastel tulips of April through the last blazing chrysanthemums in October.
Why flowers on a bridge?
The Bridge of Flowers started out as a trolley bridge in 1908. The Shelburne Falls & Colrain Street Railway trolley hauled freight between the rail yard in Shelburne Falls and several textile mills in Colrain. It delivered milk and mail, carried workers to the mills and children to the movies at the Memorial Theater in Shelburne Falls.
The railway went out of business in 1928 when trucking took over the freight business. But, the last surviving trolley car, found in a farmer's field, has been wonderfully restored to its original condition. Take a ride on old No.10 at the Trolley Museum!
In 1929, funds were raised to transform the abandoned trolley bridge into a bridge of flowers. Its upkeep still depends largely on donations from the public and the hard work of the volunteers who assist the paid gardener.

Brrrrrr------!!!
I had no idea!
Our weatherman just said tonight's low will be about 40. Didn't say anything about wind chill.
We're a little above average at 59. Are you running below average at 9?
This winter has been a constant reminder of how completely opposite our winters were last year!

The Moon
by Robert Louis Stevenson
The moon has a face like the clock in the hall;
She shines on thieves on the garden wall,
On streets and fields and harbour quays,
And birdies asleep in the forks of the trees.
The squalling cat and the squeaking mouse,
The howling dog by the door of the house,
The bat that lies in bed at noon,
All love to be out by the light of the moon.
But all of the things that belong to the day
Cuddle to sleep to be out of her way;
And flowers and children close their eyes
Till up in the morning the sun shall arise.

I'm not sure when yet. June or July, probably. Do you know your schedule?
