Another thought. The man that Daniel was living with has to know plenty. And don't ever forget who was the most important person in Anna's life. Danny.

That's news to me. Why is it so many forget that ANS left Danny when he was a little 3 month old baby and didn't come back for him for 7 years? Let's see...then ANS throws him out of her house because as a 19 or 20 year old young man he stayed out all night. That's rather harsh not to mention controlling and bizarre IMO. Then she packs up with Stern and moves to the Bahamas leaving Danny behind in LA and all alone except for the generosity of one of her old lovers. All I ever heard ANS say about Danny after he died was that he was the only one there FOR HER. He was the only one who understood HER. It was all about what Danny could do for her and never the other way around. I'm glad I don't have a mother that loves me "that" much.

But they did!! That's the entire point of this whole debacle. They had a contract that said she would get a mortgage on this within so many days

I know they did. That is common knowledge. It is the *reasoning* behind it that was being questioned. WHY would a successful realtor do that? Was it because ANS was a dear friend? They only knew her for a month or two. Was it because she was so damned good in bed? She'd really have to be to get a deal like that but regardless of how many tricks she knew I doubt any savvy real estate businessman would make such a deal after knowing her for such a short time. I think there was something more to it but I doubt G. Ben Thompson or the Shelley's will ever say what it was.

More from the Nancy Grace 3/16/07 Transcript

GRACE: Homicide experts called in on the mystery surrounding the sudden death of cover girl Anna Nicole Smith. Repeat: homicide experts called in. Just how much methadone has it been reported found in her skin?

CAPLAN: Her body tissue was loaded with methadone. We`re waiting to get the exact milligram count, but we also heard related, though, to the Demerol that police are investigating looking into whether or not 75 milligrams of Demerol were injected into her prior to her death, in fact, two minutes within her death.

Back to the Birkhead/Opri divorce for a minute. She said HKS was having too much influence over Larry. Then there was also a leak or rumor that the two men were in negotiations. And Opri also said she was being asked to do somethings that were unethical.

It has been suggested that Stern has been trying to negotiate keeping his executor position and rights to ANS' likeness and other monies in EXCHANGE for giving Birkhead the baby. If true, such an exchange involving a human being is illegal. Further, all that ANS left behind legally belongs to Dannilyn and NOBODY (not even her bio father) has the right to bargain those things away. I believe this might have been what Opri found unethical and refused to be a party to.

Like ANS, I have strayed with another, just briefly!

He will just have a short shelf life - no possibility of a full time relationship like this one.

Seems to me that Opri was more consumed with "getting" HKS than proving paternity. She was doing all the Calif. court stuff to get HKS DNA so she could prove fraud on the birth cert. Larry needs Dannilynns DNA and that has to happen in the Bahamas.

She was doing what a good lawyer should do...pursuing every possible avenue and trying to put pressure on Stern in the process. She was not wrong nor was she a failure. Birkhead is an idiot who is now negotiating with the devil after throwing away a really good attorney.

Maybe this has been noted before, but Stern seems most like Scott Peterson than anyone else I know of. Talk about sociopaths...

She just has the most annoying voice of all of them. Rale is the worst. I swear the man doesn't have a soul.

Opri was fired Tuesday by Larry. Then she issued a statement yesterday re: parting company. My guess is that Larry decided he can't afford her and the Bahamian lawyer and that makes sense to me.

Judy Banderas on Fox and 3 other regular female attys - made a comment that with all the exposure in such a high profile case, no atty would remove herself - Larry had to fire her.

Opinion not fact of course.

Lucayan Lady Team Wants Race In Memory Of Smith

February 17, 2007 at 3:29 am ·

While some remember Anna Nicole Smith as an individual who led an odd life, the A-class Lucayan Lady’ team regarded the late American pop culture figure as a kind-hearted person who shared a love for boats and sailing.

Several of the Lucayan Lady’s key sailors’, sloop owner “King” Eric Gibson, main sheet man Stephano Kemp, jib man Devon “China” Adderley and pry man Andrew Leon “Rasta” Knowles, met Smith at the All For One Regatta, January 27.

The Bahama Journal was represented on a yacht where enthusiasts watched the sailing event on that occasion. Also on the boat were King Eric, Smith, her baby Dannielynn Hope Smith, Howard Stern and a female friend from London.

Speaking with The Bahama Journal on Tuesday night, Gibson, who was on the trip with Smith and others when she died in Florida, said Smith was a long-time family friend who accepted the invitation of he and companion’s Brigette Neven to attend the sailing event at Montague Bay.

“I usually would invite her out to sailing events so that she could catch some fresh air. I just don’t think that it was healthy for her to stay cooped up inside that house. Given what she had gone through in the past couple of months I know she would have bad thoughts and become depressed.

“So she got up around 5 a.m. with us that morning and we headed out. She loved watching the sloops sail and she was cheering on the team, dressed in her Lucayan Lady shirt,” said Gibson.

The crew’s general consensus of Smith was that she was just another team member. Members of the team have informed the Journal that they want to sail a race in her memory at the “Sailing Barber” Eleazor Johnson’s 20th “Catch Me If You Can”, St. Valentine’s Day Regatta scheduled for this weekend in Montague Bay

“I know that some of the sailors want to sail a race in her memory. But it can’t be this weekend because this is Barber’s regatta and it would not be appropriate. However we can do that at another regatta,” said Gibson.

Gibson added that Smith was a sailing enthusiast and expressed a desire to sponsor a major regatta, as she wanted to contribute to The Bahamas in some way.

Pry man Knowles has been sailing with Gibson for over four years and gave his impression of Smith.

“When I went on the boat she was playing with her baby and I asked her the baby’s name. Then she introduced herself and we talked for a short while. She was a very nice person and seemed to enjoy herself sailing with the women on the upper deck. Anna was cheering on the team but I don’t think she knew who was leading at the time. But then she got sea sick and went to lie down in the cabin with Howard and the baby,” said Knowles.

When asked about how he thinks the local and international media is portraying her Knowles said, “When you are rich and famous people are going to be jealous and say hateful things even when they don’t know you. She had her faults like of us but she was only human. She seemed comfortable around us and not stuck up at all. Anna supported the team and I would like to sail in her memory.”

Meanwhile jib man Adderley noted, “It was big surprise to hear of her passing because I had just met her a week before. At the regatta she was cheering the team on and seemed very vibrant. She was a part of the team and I don’t have any problem sailing in her memory.”

Adderley’s little brother Denoy, a novice sailor and SC McPherson ninth-grader kept Smith’s company part of the time on the yacht while Devon was sailing and said, “She was a very nice person and she let me play with the baby.”

According to Neven, (who told US based news media MSNBC that she found the celebrity unresponsive in her Hard Rock Hotel room on February , Smith seemed relaxed and enjoyed her sloop-sailing experience at the All For One Regatta.

Neven says she considered Smith her adoptive daughter.

Uhhhh, they knew each at least a year and a half--maybe longer.

Even so, knowing someone (even in the Biblical sense) for a year and a half is really not a reasonable time span. Especially in light of the fact that Thompson and Shelley are both successful professional real estate people. I think there's more to it than has been made public and I don't think that will ever come out. JMO.

I stopped at the part where they referred to Neven as his companion. How disrespectful to his wife.
