Speaking of “street people”, Greta asked Hef if Anna was smart. He paused for what seemed like an eternity, then he said “street smart. not highly educated but street smart.” That was very telling. Do you know what i mean? Street smart people can smell a fake a mile away (unless they’re on drugs). Not highly educated people let other people take on their financial and legal problems.
Hef chose his words very carefully. It was one of the most sincere (honest) and enlightening interviews I’ve seen. He didn’t fawn over Anna. He did say she made bad choices (not sure if he was referring to the drugs or Stern, probably both).
He also said that when he first knew her she wasn’t into drugs or not too much (can’t remember that part exactly). Then he didn’t see her for awhile. Then he saw her again the last time about 3-4 years ago at the Playboy 50th anniversary party and HKS wasn’t there with her. She was with another guy who used to rep her and who is also the rep of Marilyn Monroes estate, and that she had obviously been drinking that night.
OBTW, the next issue of Playboy is going to feature Anna on the cover. Her 4th time on the cover. Hef said Pam Anderson holds the record for the most covers, but that 4 times is pretty rare at that.
They’re going to do a special story about her in the mag and the Playboy Channel is going to have a special about her coming up very soon too. They mentioned the date of that but i didn’t catch.

Eroshevich had traveled with Smith to Florida.
Calls to Eroshevich in Los Angeles were not immediately returned Wednesday. Candis Cohen, a spokeswoman for the California Medical Board, would not comment on any probe into Eroshevich; she said investigations of doctors were not public record.
Since I saw the re-run of ET last night, I figured out why the Stern family is seldom seen on camera - they all live in only one body! The ultimate in extreme co-dependence! So that's where Howie gets it.
Aunt BonBon says no one else will get that baby, except "over our dead body".
Then I realized she meant any of the various dead bodies her brother is busily producing!
"our dead body" - can't believe this is a family that is so gung-ho on advanced education!

MIAMI — One doctor authorized all 11 prescription medications found in Anna Nicole Smith’s hotel room the day the Playboy Playmate died of a drug overdose, according to documents released by the medical examiner’s office Wednesday.
More than 600 pills — including about 450 muscle relaxants — were missing from prescriptions no more than five weeks old. It was unclear if Smith took all of them.
Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, a psychiatrist and friend of the starlet, authorized all the prescription medications in the Hollywood, Fla., hotel room where Smith was found unresponsive shortly before her death Feb. 8, the medical examiner’s office said. Eroshevich could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
Most of the drugs were prescribed in the name of Howard K. Stern, her lawyer-turned-companion; none were in Smith’s own name, according to documents.

More than 600 pills were missing from the prescriptions written to Smith - although it wasn’t clear if the former Playboy Playmate of the Year downed all of them.
The powerful sleeping aid chloral hydrate, the medication blamed for tipping the balance in the toxic mix of drugs and causing her death, was prescribed on Jan. 2, the record show.
Eroshevich was briefly in Smith’s traveling party during the model’s stay in Florida, but left before her death.
The doctor could not be reached for comment yesterday.
Eroshevich, who was graduated from Ohio State’s medical school and was first issued a license to practice in 1978, has no record of disciplinary action, according to the California medical board.
In other developments yesterday, auctioneers in Dallas said the diaries of a young, insecure Smith will be sold to the highest bidder next week in her native Texas. The items will share the spotlight with mementos from Elvis Presley and Ava Gardner.
Heritage Auction Galleries will sell the journals on April 14 during its Spring Music and Entertainment Auction, which includes a Presley guitar and belongings of screen legend Gardner. Heritage auctioneers are selling Smith’s journals, penned between 1992 and 1994, for a German man who just purchased them last week for $512,500 on eBay. “This is going to be great,” said Doug Norwine, director of music and entertainment memorabilia for the auction house.
Smith’s former boyfriend, L.A. photographer Larry Birkhead, is suing Stern, claiming to be the girl’s father. A Bahamian judge ordered a representative from the lab that conducted DNA tests of Dannielynn and Birkhead to be in court next Tuesday, when it’s expected lawyers will learn the results.
The shades can be a pain. I hate aluminum mini blinds, but I rent, so no plantation shutters for me(as if I could afford them). I need some kitchen curtains, curtains in the computer room, curtains for the dining and living room,and maybe a Roman shade for the kids bedroom. The living room window has nice wide slat blinds made from either plastic or wood. Can’t tell, but some lace curtains over them would look nice.
My mom made feather comforter covers out of sheets. I haven’t been in a JCP or Sears in years. The master bedroom has crummy homemade curtains, that can just stay there. One thing I think is a good idea is that you could use a tension rod, like those used for shower curtains. That’s what is used in the bedroom.
For bay windows, you just might have to have professional installation.
Summer is coming, and I would like to find a pattern for nightgowns. I saw some in a store last year when I was passing through. Cotton “lawn” chemise, and they wanted 40 bucks for it! I bought a new Brother sewing machine on sale, and if I can retrain my brain, will find some nice soft cotton, and make long nighties for myself and my youngest daughter.

MIAMI — One doctor authorized all 11 prescription medications found in Anna Nicole Smith’s hotel room the day she died of a drug overdose, according to documents released by the medical examiner’s office.
More than 600 pills — including about 450 muscle relaxants — were missing from prescriptions that were no more than five weeks old, according to information obtained by The Associated Press through a public records request yesterday.
Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, a psychiatrist and friend, authorized all the medications in the room where Smith was found on Feb. 8.
62 VALIUM IN 2 WEEKS
The powerful sleeping aid chloral hydrate, the drug blamed with tipping the balance and causing her death, was prescribed Jan. 2. About two-thirds of the bottle was gone. And 62 Valium tablets were missing from a prescription less than two weeks old.
None of the drugs were prescribed in Smith’s own name. Eight were issued under in the name of Howard K. Stern, her companion; one under Eroshevich’s name; and two were under the name of Alex Katz. Katz’s identity is unknown.
The documents did not mention methadone or Ativan, both of which were found in Smith’s system. Also missing from the report was who prescribed human growth hormone, the muscle-building, weight-reducing agent Smith was taking.

Headlines claim that ANNA NICOLE SMITH's daughter, DANNIELYNN, is underweight and not thriving. BONNIE and GARY STERN -- HOWARD K. STERN's sister and brother -- are with Anna's baby girl today, and they say that's just not true!
"Dannielynn is doing absolutely beautifully," Gary tells ET. "Her weight is perfect, her height is perfect, and she's meeting all her developmental milestones," he adds. "I went to her sixth-month check-up with Howard and my mother, and she had a beautiful report."
"Her hair is filling in and it's changing color," Bonnie adds. "It's turning brown, and she has two bottom teeth that are coming in the front."
Dannielynn is starting to roll over and trying to sit up on her own. She also loves to take baths, and her favorite food is applesauce.
Bonnie can see the resemblance between the little girl and her famous mom more and more every day.
"You know, she looks like mini-Anna," she says. "She really does. She's got her little sweetheart lips and her blue eyes."
Say what one will about Hugh Hefner, but he is honest and obviously a caring person. I did notice (listening with my eyes shut)that he was very careful with his words.
I fell asleep watching the interview in bed.
