Oh wait.. in general, I agree with you. I only started watching when I saw that there was a local guy on there. I guess I've watched a total of 10 minutes of this season. And maybe 10 minutes total of the previous seasons.

She does not have the talent to be a major player in American Idol. The song was dedicated to a parent or grandparent. When listening to the lyrics, there is not much of a political theme in it. However the song has become politicalized because of who sang it and why.

If you have watched the show this year then you would know that there are two very talented female singers and certainly a few other people that have a chance to make a career in music.

Plus, the format of the show introduces older music back into the mainstream and it simply blows out the rap, hip hop, pop or sensitive country crap that pollutes the airwaves today.
