I want to hear your comments about the American Idol contestant who sang "Not Ready to Make Nice" by the dixie chicks and was axed.
Did anyone notice Kelly Pickler's new boobs? She's done a 180 from being a sweet, naive, long haired country girl to a Hollywood dumb-blond bimbo.
I've never seen anything more than the ads for it and I'm not sad about that.
I disagree. If she had picked it to make a statement, AI wouldn't have allowed the performance to take place.
How many Freepers are calling in and voting on American Idol?
I will wager that 1000 DUmmies vote for every 1 Freeper.
I don't think it was the song, it just sounded worse than the original.
Also, the girl doesn't have any soft core porn photos floating around to keep her on the show.
Did you catch the end of the results show? As the final credits were rolling, the contestant that was singing her swan song commented on how she shouldn't have tried to sing scat because Americans hate jazz. I thought, yep, that is precisely why you are leaving, nevermind your inability to actually sing scat. :P
It wasn't about the song so much as the singing. The song is obnoxious, but this is a singing contest and nothing more.
She sucked, the performance sucked, she sang a politically divisive song.
3 strike rule................... you're history. Dog.
"I think she chose that song because she wanted to make a statement about the war"
Hmmm...I never thought of that. I thought it was a poor choice in songs and she is a poor singer as well.
Nooooooooooooo. LOL. Bad. Real bad.
As soon as she started singing that song, I looked over at my wife and said, "she's gone". Although she didn't sing it all that well, she was much better than that chick who gets the "pretty pass" every week.
I think she needed to become famous before making political statements that anger people.
I find it damn hilarious. I don't watch the show, though.
Yeah, I noticed. That didn't bother me as much as:
1) her trading in her gorgeous long straight hair for Dolly-Parton curls, and
2) the junk in the trunk.
Oh yeah, I agree on all accounts. She bugged me the week before when she was strutting around the stage like a show pony while butchering "Brass In Pocket". Hopefully this week Antonella beats feet out the door right behind her.
Taylor Hicks did not deserve to win. Unfortunately, the American public is not necessarily qualified to judge any sort of talent. If they were, we would have been spared from quite a few television shows I can think of.
I'll go tinfoil on this one- she was going to be axed anyhow and was asked to sing that song to help the Dixie Chicks in their Perpetual Professional Victim campaign.
Does anyone else find it ironic how many people who "do not watch the show" are posting on this thread?
I thought her ego was bigger than her voice.
