Damn straight! There's a magnitude of difference between severing someone's tongue completely and getting a simple cut.

I never said it was OK that she cut his tongue, just that it was exaggerated to say it was "cut off." If a story says someone was shot to death and I point out they are still alive -- that they were just "shot" but not "to death," it does not imply that I agree with shooting them does it? Same here.

She should not have touched that kid with the intent to harm. That was assault at the very least.
