February 13, 2007 2007, RIPARIAN
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Tomorrow Im bringing in chains, so beware.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.

1) Relating to or living or located on the bank of a natural watercourse (as a river) or sometimes of a lake or a tidewater (riparian trees)

Thought of all you frozen staters would like to be reminded that Spring will be here soon, and you'll be able to get those nice rainy days instead of this snow!
A guy walks into a post office one day to see a middle-aged, balding man standing at the counter methodically placing "Love" stamps on bright pink envelopes with hearts all over them. He then takes out a perfume bottle and starts spraying scent all over them.
His curiosity getting the better of him, he goes up to the balding man and asks him what he is doing. The man says, "I'm sending out 1,000 Valentine cards signed, 'Guess who?'"
"But why?" asks the man.
"I'm a divorce lawyer," the man replies
Dreadin' the snow (supposed to come tonight) & dreaming of a riparian vacation somewhere. Maybe near Mexico.
P.S. I think "riparian" sounds like the name of a religion -- especially the New Age type.
Yes, that's me. (Did you think I'd hire an actor to hold my grandson for a picture?)
The snow is coming down steady now. If you make even a quick stop anywhere you must brush off the snow again. Hubby went to get gas for the snow blower. I made it up my hill, I hope I don't have to go down off it the rest of the night.
Ha, ha, ha.........
How do you procreate without doing it?
"And it isn't from the upper crust"
Old Miss Crusty will never lose her name. LOL!
A++++ for you, T5, and I'm glad you're home safely!
Thank the Good Lord!
Ya little geezerette, you! LOL!
Oh, A++++ for you, Moochie!
Okay, where's my apple?
I know how the rain gets there, but, really, why there? Do you knit or read all day because you get nervous knowing you might be out in that ice/snow? How do you stay calm? I'd have my hair ripped out by now.
This is the snowstorm from HE!!.... All the way up to the boonies for a squad call, used the chains to get up the hill......we crawled back down and I was one of the lucky two who got to go home when we passed by the station, while the unlucky one got to go all the way in to the ER. My car had to be cleaned off from the snow, as quick as I got the front windshield cleaned off I could run around and get the back one again then back to the front....LOL.. our lady cop stopped and told me to give it up, she said if I hurried I could still make it up my hill for the night. Slow going, but I made it back home. PLEASE God no more calls tonight.
Yechhh.
Just rain and more rain down here.
LOL !! :^D
You are way too kind. Thank you.
Rain?
We've got a foot of snow, or maybe just a little less. Not bad for an afternoon/evening.
All the schools are cancelled. I think everyone has used all the free snow days and now have to make up the rest.
That never happened back in the 1980's, before global warming heated up. Back then we just had acid rain, ozone holes, and ALAR for our envirohoaxes.
Rip-at-Rian?
I ain't never gonna use that riparian word. It would make me look an even bigger fool than I already am. R i p a r i a n?
I was thinking about you, Lady, in this storm. Stay safe, I pray.
The weather map at the bottom of my about page is fifteen minutes behind real time, and it looks like a moon of Saturn just landed on your region.
My house seems to have a magical spell protecting it. I guess I'm going to owe some big time karma.
It dropped 20 degrees in an hour here tonight. And it's still raining.
