I don't think you can, I think you have to delete them all, just push the down arrow, click options and then delete search history.

The first step is to scroll down to the objectionable item ("Hot Blond Chicks").

Download a copy of "HiJackThis!" and use it to get rid of the Yahoo bar all together.

I have Firefox with any number of search engines (Google, Yahoo, Dogpile, etc.) in the upper right hand corner of the browser. For any of them, highlight the search term you wish to delete and key "shift+delete".

With Firefox, this key removes any search term from any search engine and in addition can remove URL's from your address menu as well.

is the address menu that little thing that autofinishes urls when you type them? because I mispelled drudgereport.com and now the preferred autospelling is a typo-- i'd love to be able to kill that so it autofinishes to the correct address so I don't have to type the whole thing every time.

Yep. That's it. "Shift+delete" will take that and any other autofill/autofinish URL out. Just highlight it and use that key. Works only in Firefox, however. In IE6 you have to delete ALL of your autofill/autofinish entries, though I think there is an utility you can download from the net that will do it individually, though not as cleanly as Firefox does.
