I am sure after having heard the story, many want to adopt the dog. Hopefully i will go to a person or family who will truly love him

She said she can't adopt Hero because she already has six dogs.Seems to be going against destiny. We can always find excuses for what we know should be done.

Wonder why the Amish got into puppy mills?
________________
It's a multi million dollar industry. Most of the puppies in pet shops, or pet cottages come from puppy mills.
I think half the puppies never even make it to the pet shops because they die from neglect and illness. I know most people have heard about the sickly puppies from pet shops.
Anyway, I suggest people stay away from buying a dog from a pet shop, and get one from a purebred rescue place, or a shelter or a reputable breeder.

Just saw a clip on FOX about this - beautiful GS. This dog would own my couch.

She said quote "If he ever needs anything, I'll be there." She said she can't adopt Hero because she already has six dogs. But, she said, "If I did adopt him, he'd be treated like the king he is. That dog is always going to have a special place in my heart."But instead, I'm going to leave him here in a cage.
The good news about dogs is they don't know we are not worthy of the devotion and affection they often display. I'm very impressed with the dog... not so much by this woman. I hope the dog gets what he really needs: A home, soon.

I guess being a pacifist doesn't mean you have to be kind to animals.

From what I understand, he/she is still being evaluated for search and rescue before being offered out for adoption.

Dogs, is there anything they can't do?

I did find it a little ironic that the article reads *he* dragged *her* by the collar!

Man, it's stories like this that really make me wonder if, sometimes, animals are sometimes angels in disguise.
One of those stories that make you go, Hmmmm...
Just one more reason to love dogs.

LOL! I wonder if he thought "D'oh!" when she walked off and left him in the shelter.
