See everyone next year...I enjoyed the thread...thank you!

Now if the NO saints had won and the coach was black the media would have a pcgasm.

Pioli is staying. He turned down a chance to go to the Giants. I can't see Belichick leaving either, given that he made it to the AFC Championship game and lost in the closing seconds on an INT.

The owner did too, with greater emphasis. It was really nice to see both do it.
And I am sure Peyton was praying at the end.

Game at one minute I was expecting New England to come back and win. Patriots team is great. Behold! Colts intercept during the last seconds and have the smarts to put it in the grass. Was hoping some months ago for a Colts/Bears Superbowl. Never thought it would happen, but here it is.

New Orleans Saints fans Derek Lawson, left, and Tiffany Poche watch the Saints play the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship
football game in Arabi, La., Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007. The Saints lost 39-14. They were watching the game in the FEMA trailer of
David Watson, whose home was flooded by Hurricane Katrina. (AP Photo/Pat Semansky)
Wish I could afford a TV like that.

A big deal is still made about a black QB getting to the SB, completely ignoring the fact the Doug Williams won the SB (with the Redskins) about 20 years ago. I know...I know...that was the talk a few years ago, when Philly played...whoever they played...someone said "no matter who wins, a black quarterback is going to the SuperBowl. BFD! It's already happened, as you said, and guess what? His TEAM won! TEAM! They say there's no "I" in team...well, there's no BLACK or WHITE in "team" either!

There's something really obscene about that picture.

I don't... Lovie did a hell of a job this year.. I don't care who the race of the coach.. It is the media that is making a big deal out of it...

Well, since my wife Snookums graduated from Tennessee (Manning), and I graduated from South Dakota State (Adam Vinateri) I guess I'm pretty solidly in the Colts camp.
Plus, I'm an AFC guy anyway (Broncos!)

Here we go again....Black vs. Black SB head coaches. I would rather watch NCAA 2A Volleyball over this BS game. Or college ice hockey...between USC and UCLA...
I've already had my rant upthread about the whole two black coaches in the Super Bowl PC nonsense...I had a comment that I might just make into a gym shirt - "There is no "I", "BLACK" or "WHITE" in "TEAM"!

(That's four Super Bowls with no INT's BTW.)

So, I suppose these two fine coaches of two fine teams should change their color before the game so you can watch it??
Just don't listen to the stupid announcers. The coaches are good because they're good. Their color shouldn't turn you away from what promises to be a really good game.
Should it??

It is the media that is making a big deal out of it... Yes totally media driven. I haven't heard one word out of the coaches or players. It's two good head coaches that have reached the SB.
To: Cyropaedia
Brady is great, but "Brady is better than Montana" is laugh-out-loud funny.

Yes, the owner and the coach both said it was all honor to God....first. Pretty classy, the whole team is classy. Talk about a bunch of guys without the arrogance ya associate with big money and fame.
Did Brady shake hands with Payton?
I know the coaches hugged...but the coach of the Patriots was just rude to our local news folks. Arrogant and given to two word answers. The reporter simply called off the interview...don't blame him.
There is a very heavy duty competition between the Pats and the Colts...especially over the kicker that moved here.
But on local TV we got a real eyeball full of sore losers. Kinda surprising.
