"How do feel about Report Covers??"Funny you should mention that...I have a really hard time resisting them, believe it or not. I try to stay out of the office-supply aisles in the stores.

That's why I love crochet - you really can't make a mistake, if you're willing to pull out a couple of day's work, that is.

I can *usually* resist at the grocery store or Target.
But a trip to Staples or Office Max is like a trip to the mall. Nirvana!!
Walmart has 2 aisles, so I try not to go to that part of the store. I only go for the $5 DVDs. ;-)

We just had mean, retarded, inbred scrappy goats. If they had been "Heidi" goats, I'm sure my time on the farm would've been much nicer, LOL! :)

LOL
A couple a years ago, we went to the animal section of a Fiber Fair. As we came through the door, I sniffed and said, "There's a boy goat here. I miss my Bucky!"
My daughter turned to our friends and said, "And that's why they smell the way they do... it drives the women wild!" LOL

Today I promise to do something to store away all my dress patterns. Maybe I should be like the lady at the Joann's nearby who bought some used pattern cabinets from a fabric store that closed down?

She was born old and wise. Didn't even cry, just looked at us, waiting for us to apologize for the indignity of birth. LOL

I need help. A friend brought a video clip from a Rachel Ray show in December, where Kathie Lee Gifford was wearing a gorgeous sweater made like a Pi Shawl with sleeves in it, but it has lace and cables and twisted stitches! Now I'm trying to figure out how to make one similar to it. I've found out that it was a Ralph Lauren design that her husband bought for her, and was able to find a similar sweater on the Ralph Lauren site (800 some bucks on SALE - hack, cough) but Kathie Lee's was prettier and more delicate looking. The cables and stuff run around the circle and would have to be Kitchener stitched at some point. I couldn't see how the back was done.
If anyone here saw that show, or knows what I'm talking about, or has any ideas on how to knit a thing like this, or better yet, SAW THE ACTUAL SWEATER, please let me know!
I have a nice brown/gray Borderleister fleece that wants to be spun into yarn for this project. Like I said, I need help, possibly from a mental health professional! (c8

I feel like I'm cheating on my knitting needles. I'm actually crocheting something that is either going to be a throw, or if I get tired, a scarf!

Sounds gorgeous! Have you been able to find any pictures you can post or link to? maybe we can help devise some patterning.
Your fleece sounds lovely too. :-)

TFTP! I finished the baby hat with stash yarn that was reworked at least 4 times due to my errors. Now I'm back to making booties for a friend's new grandson.

I'm practicing my very first lace pattern ever :-)
It's meant to be edging for a blanket, but my kids are using the finished pieces as little knit crowns.

(c8"sigh...I have so much handspun spun up, I'm planning to make at least one big sweater. And I have a big plastic tub full of raw fleece, PLUS a bunch of gorgeous, luscious hand-dyed rovings from a little handspinning shop I used to frequent in Minnesota. I'm good to go until some time after the Second Coming. But I REALLY, REEEEEEEEELY miss my spinning. ...sigh...

Ever have to round up all your stash, look it over carefully and say:
How did I get so much?
and
Where do I put it all?

"Ever have to round up all your stash, look it over carefully and say: How did I get so much? and Where do I put it all?"Yep. At least TWICE since I moved the last time, and numerous occasions before that (including two other moves). Talk about "personal baggage..."
