24 returns for another season.
The time period is two years later. I miss First Lady Martha already.
Poor Jack. He can't catch a break. The new President buys Jack back from the Chinese, only to sell him to Islamist terrorists.
Chloe sports a new boyfriend and
pwns her new CTU supervisor -- the Sup left open the Jarvis Firewall and Chloe caught it.
Chloe's new boyfriend manages to lock onto a commercial satellite to trace Jack's whereabouts. Dang, he might even be more technically savvy than Chloe. But they get caught.
The first hour is a tear-jerker. Have a box of tissues close at hand. It is patriotically inspiring what Jack does for his country.
Bill handcuffs Jack to a grill to await the terrorist to get him.
Jack to Bill:
"Do you understand the difference between dying for something and dying for nothing? The only reason I fought so hard to stay alive in China was that I didn't want to die for nothing. Today, I can die for something, my way, my choice."
Does Jack give the terrorist the finger?
Have faith in Jack.
And hang on. It looks like another bumpy ride in Season 6 of
24
Do NOT miss the final 5 minutes of the 4th hour on Monday night. It is a jaw-dropper.

A question to all you "24ers"---
I never got caught up in it, but would like to. I just bought season 1 and 2, and am just getting into it -- and getting use to the style.
My question is -- does each season stand alone? Could I start and go thru this season, yet still watch the previous seasons?

What's the muslim terrorist count in "24" so far?

Now do you "really" think that Larry King/alive will actually for the first time do an interesting interview?
Statement---There's no such thing as a stupid question.
Reply---You obviously have never watched a Larry King interview.

I would love to see Rush Limbaugh as a guest star on "24." (I'm sure Rush would love to be on "24")
Terrorists kidnap a prominent talk show host and force him to broadcast propaganda, no, code messages to their sleeper operatives...

Larry will have no idea who they are.

Thanks for the comeback on whether each season stands alone ---- more or less.
Even if one has never sat down to watch '24', you can't help but know (in a general way) what is going on. I'm vaguely aware of the different relationships on the program, and these DVD sets give you pretty much a good written sum-up. You could almost sit down and read them and catch up ---- almost.
Thank goodness, DH is as interested as I am. We've gone thru The Sopranos together, and now we are both glad that series is coming to an end. It has had its time.
Has Sutherland had his political views change because of this series?

Thanks for the reminder. He was on Leno last night. He was cute talking about how he turned 40 and all of a sudden realized he has gone past the half way point in his life... he said he spent it alone and reflecting... somehow he seemed a little more mature in this interview.
Did you see Ricky Schrouder and Rob Lowe are joining the cast this year?
