How about those Boise State Broncos!
Fox and ESPN ^ | 1/1/2007 | Jeff Head

Posted on 01/01/2007 10:15:32 PM PST by Jeff Head

Boise State wins 2007 Fiesta Bowl in OT against Big 12 Champs, Oklahoma.

Amazing 4th and 18 touchdown from the fifty with a flea flicker with 7 seconds left. Amazing 4th down touchdown in OT followed by another amazing 2 point conversion to win against a very resilant and strong OU team which came back from 18 points down and took the lead with a minute and 6 minutes left in regulation.

One of the most exciting and amazing College football games I have seen, next to the Miracle Bowl when BYU beat SMU 41 to 40 by scoring three touchdowns in the last three minuts 25 years ago.

How 'bout them Broncos!

If you have iTunes, Fox is going to offer the games for download.

Right now they just have the pregame specials listed, but it says there will be a extended full game available for download, as well as a short-cut version, which squeezes all the plays into 20 mins....

Thanks. Both teams showed a lot of heart, determination and grit. Real heartbreaker for OU after they came back the way they did, real inspiration for BSU to then come back and end up winning it at the end as they did. What a game!

She was quite surprised and looks as if she hesitated.

Butch Otter was sworn in as Governor today. I hope the Broncos didn't give him a heart attack! ;-)

Let me re-word that...the first electricity producing nuclear reactor, EBR-1.

World's first nuclear-provided electricity - in Idaho

With all the classes I've been taking lately I can claim to be an Aggie, A Boise Spud, A Kentucky Wildcat, a New Mexico Institute of Mining Skeeter, and a few others I haven't dug up yet.

... followed by another amazing 2 point conversion to win ...

It was more than amazing, it was brilliant! And more than a little inspiring, I should say. In a previous bowl game the commentators were joking about a coach quoting John Paul Jones to the effect, as I recall, "Who will not risk, will not win."

BOISE STATE risked! BOISE STATE won!

Wish they were, but endings and games like this just do not come around that often...the 1980 Holiday Bowl game between SMU and BYU was one for sure, they called it the Miracle Bowl.

Agreed...amazing, brilliant, and inspiring. Both OU's and particularly BSU's performance should not only be classics for college football and sports, but for life-lessons as well.

I'm an Idaho FReeper, but I sure wasn't rooting for Boise State.

As I said in the College Football thread, I have no love lost for BSU and I hate a lot of Boise State fans, but that was a great game and BSU deserved to win.
