As we settle into the nighttime of dispair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
It's over, he's gone. Saddam Hussein was hung last night in Iraq at just after 10 PM ET, or just after 6 AM ET local time.
The person who filmed the execution said that he saw fear in Saddam's eyes while he was on the gallows.
United States troops are said to be ready for a surge in violence, but the biggest event so far was spontaneous celebrating in Baghdad streets. The Government did not impose a 24-hour curfew.
A last minute appeal was lodged into the United States court system. The United States District Court summarily dismissed the measure, saying it had no jurisdiction over foreign matters.
Saddam was asked if he had anything to say, and he answered: "No, I don't want to." He did, however, say somthing before he was hung. His last words are: "'God is great. The nation will be victorious and Palestine is Arab."
True to the end, however, those who have no respect for human life, but coach themselves as watchers of human rigts, said things like that of Richard Dicker, director of Human Rights Watch's International Justice Program: "Saddam Hussein was responsible for massive human rights violations, but that can't justify giving him the death penalty, which is a cruel and inhuman punishment." In response to Mr. Dicker--one cannot hold life sacred unless one is willing to hold those repsonsible for taking in wihtout cause to the highest penalty. Fortunately, for Iraq, that has now come to pass, and the healing for many hundreds of thousands may begin.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
May be the same. I have a cough that gives me dry heaves. I hate that.

I hope you saw the message from kayak that I drug over here from her prayer thread. She was wishing you a happy birthday.
Always our Kay. Thinking of others before herself.
Thanks for the schedule.
I'm looking forward to a quite New Year weekend at home....Prime rib, shrimp and king crab legs...spread over the weekend.
I have no idea why, but I stayed up far too late watching a bunch of What Not to Wear episodes on TLC. Some of the makeovers are excellent..especially the hair and makeup.
Yes, I.G., I DID! Thank you so much! It made my day! She is unbelievable! I am so honored for her to do that.
We will be putting in a watering system for the greenhouse that will attach easily to a closely located faucet. As for a heat source, there will be available space to place the heater when it becomes needed (as I'm sure it will!)
We are looking forward to getting things going with it (though the weather does not seem to be cooperating right now)ans are alreay planning our kitchen garden as well as a few other tasty items!

Good morning M, of the 5.56 mm!
Sunspaces and Solar Greenhouses..this site makes me ooohhh and ahhh!!
I hope I stay well!
Just spent the past 4 days in a camper with hubby (who's getting over an upper respiratory thingie)...and son in law who just got it, but immediately went on antibiotics, and daughter, who has it somewhat, and son, who had a touch of it.
So far, Jellybean and I were the well-est....but this morning Jellybean woke up slightly hoarse :(
Plus, the above the knee (as oposed to Mrs.Bush below the knee) skin cancer I had excised is not healing well...(it's been 6 weeks)...
..but the doctor said it really is healing.....
... that my problem is my body is spitting out the internal sutures through the excision and will heal naturally but slowly.
..He said most folk tolerate the sutures just fine, but I'm having a slightly allergic reaction.....go figure
It really looks yucko.
Oh, dear. You ..all..will be on my prayer list, also.
Good morning. Our local papers have both reported, as you did, that a US judge rejected an appeal into saving the life of Hussein. What we don't know is: Who filed the appeal?
It was your birthday, Two Thirds, and I missed it! I'm so sorry. My only excuse is that I've been sick for a week and am not reading FR very much or this ATRW thread. Hope you had a great one, sweetie.
Uh oh. There is a cream that is recommended to diabetic patients who have injuries that helps them heal. I'm forgetting the name of that cream right now, but if I remember, I'll ping you.
