Woman complains to cop about bad crack

PALATKA, Fla., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- A woman who tried to get her money back by complaining to police in Florida about the dealer who sold her poor quality crack cocaine ended up behind bars.

Eloise Reaves of North Carolina lodged her complaint with a Putnam County deputy sheriff who was responding to a call to a convenience store, WJXT-TV in Jacksonville reported. Deputy Jeffrey Pedrick warned her that if the stuff tested positive for cocaine she would be arrested.

Reaves, even after she was booked, told police they should find the drug seller and get her money back on the grounds that there was wax mixed in with the crack. She was later freed on bail.

People like this challenge the judicial system. No problem in finding them guilty,...now just where the hell do you place them?

In jail? They'll probably continue to nag the other inmates about other injustices in the slammer to point they will get their head cracked open. So it might not do the most good, i.e. mix one nag with one sadomasochist and we merely exasperate both problems and add a cleanup on aisle 4.

Let them out on their own recognizance? Maybe, they probably create sufficient misery on their own to simply not mess with them. They will penalize themselves by their own thinking and behavior. Do they pose a threat to others? hard to tell.

Maybe they should be sent to Hillary's district.

MY, my! Our downtrodden minorities seem to have a corner on being abused, poked fun at, and generally misunderstood. When are we all going to wake up and embrace our troubled brethren? We caused all their troubles, and we are to blame for their plight. OH, wait a minute! Recent census figures show that the hispanic contingent in America has out-populated the persons of African decent. Now, what to do? Maybe all citizens need to be identified as citizens with no particular handles so as to keep us from stereotyping. It is your American right to buy crack, and you should have a reasonable expectation that it is good crack! Of course, it is up to you to resolve such issues, and the Law should not be asked to get involved.
