In the recent Green Lantern comics I saw, he was Black... I guess it's okay to have an ethnic surgery for a superhero.

Childhood wouldn't have been as fun without Green Lantern.
Thanks for the memories, Mr. Nodell.

In brightest day, in blackest night
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might
Beware my power, Green Lantern's light!
Rest in Peace

Each Green Lantern possesses a "power ring" that gives the user great control over the physical world as long as the wielder has sufficient willpower. While the ring of the Golden Age Green Lantern (Alan Scott) was magically powered, the rings worn by all subsequent Lanterns were the creations of the Guardians of the Universe, who granted such rings to worthy candidates. These individuals made up the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps. There are many who have been Lanterns.

Bruce Lee played Cato, the Green Hornets sidekick,
Not to be confused with Cato Kalan, who played OJ Simpson's sidekick.

Green Lantern could be anybody; it's not a permanent position. Whoever it is today, it would be somebody else tomorrow.

Marty also created the Pillsbury Doughboy.

Question --- Superman had Kryptonite, the Martian Manhunter had fire, Dr. Don Blake needed his crutch to turn to The Mighty Thor, did the Green Lantern have any vulnerabilities ?
Who would win in a battle between Superman and Green Lantern ?
The kid in me asking...

Depends on which GL you are talking about. The original Alan Scott's ring had no effect on wood. Hal Jordan's ring could not affect anything that was yellow.
Both of them could easily produce green kryptonite though, making a pretty short day for Superman.
But i'm not a geek or anything...JFK

I was just about to point that out.
That is sad, he was one of the coolest DC heroes.

Who would win in a battle between Superman and Green Lantern ? My money's on GL. He could turn into anything, and he can turn himself into green kryptonite, of course.
To: SirLinksalot
Green Lantern was vulnerable to something yellow.
Democrat rhetoric maybe?

Mr. Nodell's creation: Alan Scott.
I grew up reading Hal and Guy, but I prefer the Alan Scott character over Hal. He's still a big presence in the books too.
