Need FReeper advice: KitchenAid Mixmaster What attachments do you NEED?

Posted on 12/11/2006 7:03:31 PM PST by Pukin Dog

Okay, here it is:

Girlfriend is a budding pastry chef, who made a subtle hint yesterday about wanting a Mixmaster. I'm thinking "thats no big deal, what the hell?" So, I go up to Amazon, and theres all these colors, and all these freakin attachments, and DAMN that thing is expensive!! I thought I was going to get away cheap on this deal, ya know?

So, you owners of these things, what is so great about them anyway, and what attachments should I buy with the thing, and what freaking COLOR and, and, and, by the time I'm ready to buy, should I just give her the cash?

Why is this thing so much more expensive then the other brands? Does food taste better with this thing? Is this some female status symbol or something? I could buy a lot of man stuff with that money, so ladies, tell me what's so great about this sucker, before I get her a gift certificate instead!

Nothing says "I love you, mom," like a big ole piece of sheetrock!

Costco is your friend.

Just go to Costco. When you buy it there it will come with numerous attachments. Then you can give her the additional attachemnts for Valentines Day. See, I solved two problems at once.

Darn. Too late. Oh Well you can still buy more attachments for Valentines day.

My DH bought be one for Christmas many, many years ago. He wanted to buy me this Cuizinhart or something like that, that was recommended by one of his buddies at work. Apparently the buddy's wife was a caterer. I told him to go stuff that other mixer, I knew what I wanted. DH then found out that the work buddy's wife wanted a KitchenAid instead of that other mixer.

Mine has grated lots of cheese and mixed lots of bread and cookie dough through the years. Next week my kitchen turns into a bakery for my annual cookie bake for neighbors, family and friends. My KitchenAid will be working overtime with double batches.

If your Mixmaster has a USB port, get compatible one-slice toaster.

So, that means she got the grinder too,

You should have had the grinder shipped to your house, at least until you know her better.

When women get angry, there's no telling what they'll grind up.

I'm bad?

You try folding that sucker up....

And they made me do it. It's all Pukin Dogs fault.

I was just trying to help.
