'Whole sections of English towns are Islamofascist Pakistani Muslims who hate England and America and those darned Jews of course.'

Dearborn, Michigan. 32% muslim population. Public school enrolment 40% muslim. 6m muslims in the US, though who knows with your open borders. 1.7m in Britain.

'The remaining non Muslim population is often vomiting drunk puking their guts on the publio streets. '

What a load of crap. The young in England like a drink and do get drunk, but it's a freedom they have from 18 that the US nanny state denies people until they are 21.

'The crime rate in England is much higher than the American crime rate. Anything not bolted down and locked up tight will be stolen if you take your eye off it. Many people are on the dole or working a "fiddle". '

Burglaries and robberies are higher in the UK, murders and rapes are higher in the US. The UK has a far more urbanised population. There may be people 'fiddling' the dole but we don't have 15m illegals fiddling the entire country with a likely amnesty and flying their flag above ours.

'It's true that the English and Irish are great talkers and can talk endlessly. That's great fun and usually pretty interesting, but there are hoards of drunken, violent, illiterate yobs who are are like animals. '

You want to be more chhosy about your peer group old chap. . . . :D

i don't think many of us are really saying that the brits are less than witty and charming... it's the american traitor (who has reaped much wealth, admiration, etc from the american system) we are showing our disdain for.

I love the English lifestyle, it's not as capitalistic as America. People don't talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner

I'm glad she knows what every human being living in the United States of America talks about while eating dinner.

Bio via Wikipedia:
Paltrow was born in Los Angeles, California, to the film and television director Bruce Paltrow and the actress Blythe Danner. Raised in Santa Monica, she attended Spence School, a private girls' school in New York City, and briefly studied art history at the University of California, Santa Barbara, before dropping out and committing herself to acting.

On December 5, 2003, she married Chris Martin of the British rock group Coldplay in a secret wedding ceremony in Southern California. Paltrow gave birth to their first child, Apple Blythe Alison Martin, on May 14, 2004, in London. Her second child, Moses Bruce Anthony Martin, was born on April 8, 2006.

In May of 2005, she publicly announced that she suffered from depression after the death of her father Bruce Paltrow. She practices yoga, and is a vegan as well as following a macrobiotic diet, although she told People in 2005 that, "I'm not as stringent as I was in the past. Now <.b>I'll have cheese once in a while or white flour, but I still believe in whole grains and no sugar."

She is a good friend of Christina Applegate and is also good friends with Madonna and fashion designers Valentino and Stella McCartney. She was best friends with Winona Ryder until her breakup with Brad Pitt.

Bio via me:
Gwyneth was born into a life of wealth and privilege and empty morals in Hollywood. Her busy self-obsessed parents shipped her across country to a private boarding school. Not needing to make an honest living she studied art history until she dropped out as looking at pretty pictures was one thing but having to read and write about them proved too taxing. She then embarked on an even more trivial profession – acting.

After numerous failed romances with other mediocre actors, she married the bland pasty-faced lead singer of Coldplay; a band whose music can best be described as the ultimate cure for insomnia.

She and her husband spawned two children, who if not burdened enough by have two wacky parents, also have to go through their lives with the names Apple and Moses.

Not having a hit movie in quite a while she announced she suffered from depression in a desperate attempt to get more attention for herself. She says she’s a vegan but admits to eating cheese and white flour, evidently not knowing what the term vegan means and that white four is not an animal product.

She counts among her friends a woman whose claim to fame is playing a bimbo slut on TV, another empty-headed blonde who plays a bimbo slut in real life, a gay fashion designer and some other fashion designer who is also the daughter of rich and famous parents and was formally friends with a kleptomaniac drug addict.

Evidently a great intellectual in her own right, Gwyneth feels that the British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans, a sentiment shared by her British nanny, butler, housekeeper, driver, gardener, personal assistant, the roadies from her husband’s band and various and sundry working class Brits and a few soccer hooligans.

"The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans,"

Bold talk for a UC Santa Barbara dropout. I might think the stray cats in my alley were more intelligent than Americans if the only Americans I knew were Hollywood bozos, anorexic starlets, and porn lords. It's called generalizing from a limited case. What a twit (not sure I spelled that right.)

I made the transition from English soccer hooligan to West Texas redneck quite smoothly.

Not many aristocrats emigrated during the settlement of America and the sycophantic middle classes of the time imitated their betters by staying put as well. American culture consequently has very deep roots in the British working class, but not so much in the upper or middle classes. I am convinced that this is also the origin of many middle and upper class British prejudices about Americans.

'I am convinced that this is also the origin of many middle and upper class British prejudices about Americans.'

It would also explain the American prejudices against the British.

"It would also explain the American prejudices against the British."

I didn't generalize to that degree, but you are right in many respects. Negative stereotypes about the UK do seem to reflect working class views of the middle class and aristocracy or, more correctly, the views that might have prevailed 200 years ago. The stereotyped Englishman of American lore is really a caricature of a middle class pretender, circa 1800.
Don't forget that there is also a very heavy and persistent dose of Irish influence in American views of the UK.
In any case, these prejudices are relics from a deservedly vanished world.

'Don't forget that there is also a very heavy and persistent dose of Irish influence in American views of the UK.'

It always intrigues me that some Irish-Americans harbour negative feelings about Britain that are virtually non-existant in Ireland itself!

'In any case, these prejudices are relics from a deservedly vanished world.'

A fine and honourable sentiment which would be hard to believe if one read this forum too frequently! ;-)

Sorry, but I think there's a lot more public drunkeness in England than here. I also think they drink more per capita than Americans. And it's not like I've never been stupid drunk and puked my guts out in public when I was younger and less discrete.

Yes, the Muslim population of Dearborne Mich. is higher than most American cities, but there are still more Muslims in England per capita than in the US as a percentage of population.

Yes, there's too much of a nanny state here in the US and everywhere as far as I'm concerned.

The assault rate is much higher in England than the US. Neither murder nor rape are good things anywhere.

I AM choosy about my friends and my friends in England include very nice middle and so called upper class doctors, real estate investors, eccentric car collectors and land owners and tennis playing snobs who also own houses in France (not that it matters), but I wasn't exactly hanging out with the East Enders.

Please don't get me wrong, I like, admire and respect England and the English, but it's gone downhill recently and it disturbs me for both England, America and Western civilization as a whole because England is our mother country and has contribuited so much to America and Western civilazation.

And yes, most emphatically, we've got way too many illegal aliens "fiddling" the system. It's a failure on our part.

Too true, I regret to say. This can pop up in the most unexpected places, chiefly from people who know that their ancestors were Irish, but next to nothing about Ireland itself. Too many John Ford movies I guess.
