The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

~sigh~

Steve came home from work with what might be a broken wrist. I think it's likely just sprained, but I'm taking him to the doctor tomorrow to make sure. He can't move it...it's swollen.

Needless to say, the caulking was postponed...we all had to take baths instead of showers. No big deal to me, but the guys all hated it.

Yay!!! The Alamo! Did you see the basement?

I've been there many times...

I found the answer on TV.com. The actor was Endre Hules, who's been in a lot of stuff I would have watched, including "Alias" and Season 1 of "24".

So that's why he looked familiar.

Heh...Steve yelled that out the window of the van once, driving down the street, at a couple of birds.

The boys looked at each other like "What?"

Heh...it's from Peewee Herman's Big Adventure...a fortune teller tells him that his stolen bicycle is in the Alamo's basement so he goes there to look for it.

So who did he play in Season 1 of "24"?

OK, I looked him up on IMDB. He's played in an episode of "House". He was someone they interviewd about one of their patients. He was also a Major in Peacemaker; I vaguely remember him in that.

I'll give you a hint: the actor playing the Russian Consul had a role in the LOTR movies

Shore 'nuff. Goodness - that's the mark of a good actor to be unrecognizable from role to role.
