Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Snoozed most of the day, it did.
I got a blender. Way werk has been, I figgered I need a margarita maker.
And I went to the late service today for about the first time. Dr. Eye Candy #2 was there - the OB/GYN one. With his gorgeous wife and two incredibly cute kids. Looks like I'm at least three years too late for that particular Catholic guy. ;-) Kinda cracked me up, though.
Doing laundry and trying not to think about tomorrow being Monday.
That she did...
Whew! We finished priming and put a first coat on the ceiling and the lower half. Talon should have pictures soon. We hope by next weekend to be done painting and ready to lay the floor.
I am sore, stiff, and tired...
You could ask him if he has a brother...
I'm sippin' a nice margarita now and I have massaging slippers on my poor sore feet. Ugh.
FYI, the premix margaritas - Chilis makes a nice one, so does Jose Cuervo. Everything else I've had is suspect.
Didn't make it to the likker store today. Maybe tomorrow night. I think the premix we liked best was the Jose Cuervo one...probably the most expensive, but...oh well.
I rearranged books a few times. And now everything is kind of halfway rearranged. I need more bookshelves, I think is the bottom line.
Gotta watch Craigslist for a cheapie bookcase, I guess.
We desperately need more shelves. Talon will have to build me some soon.
One of the really nice things about Iowa.... likker at the grocery store. Which is a block away. Mmm.
Aww...cute picture of the pups!
So...what are we looking at in the pics? Which way will everything be facing?
The second picture in Talon's post is behind the couch, looking at the bathroom. The first pic in mine is where the TV will go, and the other picture is the right hand half-wall/bar.
The pups like to watch for us to reemerge but they know they aren't allowed down right now.
The top part of the wall gets painted a brown-tan with hints of green, the bottom gets another coat and then a darker green "dragged" overtop. It's going to be very restful.
Dang...as is so often the case, Dilbert is *almost* too close to the truth to be funny.
Yeah, but does he have a single Catholic doctor friend for whom he's looking to find a nice Catholic girl? ;o)
I kid you not.
Izzit Monday yet?
Must. Have. Coffee.
fwiw
Why is it Monday, anyway?
Ugh... so sore from painting...
At least I didn't blow an engine...*sigh*
~sip~
It's Monday.
I was hoping, just hoping, that I wouldn't make it up the drive to go to work due to the ice. Unfortunately, the temp rose a bit last nite and Big'ol was able to clear the drive. Dangit.
Oh, too bad.
It's about 25 here.... things melted off enough yesterday that hopefully the drive is ok. We'll see.
