Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Now here's something you really don't see every day, and yet it's so practical, combining the iPod with another of life's necessities:
Sorry Corin, this weatherwoman is just so dramatic, and usually wrong. She probably believes in global warming, too.
***looks around and sees he's still here***
In other news, Jr. tried to talk me out of going to school again today. I said, you have to go. Call me if you puke.
So, there's that.
Let's synchronize our watches!
Absolutely!!
I can sympathize with Jr. Tell him the working world isn't much better.
And if you haven't got sick leave, it's worse.
This week is my three-month at the company mark so I start accumulating sick leave now. And in another two weeks I am out of the negative for vacation time.
It starts out as a pretty good day when you get an email from your son's English teacher that says "Jr. came in very well prepared today..."
There may yet be hope.
As long as the email doesn't continue with "bringing along a sack when he knew he had stomach flu was the mark of an intelligent young man".
I have to burn some leave this year to avoid having a "use or lose" situation. According to Uncle Sam I work too much. Hrmm.
He's a senior, right? (Ah can't remember) If so that's impressive. Most seniors graduate mentally around Christmas. If he's a junior... well, enjoy it while it lasts. :)
Yes, he's a senior. Our goal is that he ~stays~ a senior this year (and isn't one ~next~ year).
Well prepared... for English?
Something's up :~)
Good morning!
Hey - It just started snowing!
Huh? That's... odd.
Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to amount to a "snow day". It's stopped already here, though they do have a weather dude on TV standing outside somewhere in the snowflakes, and the TV people are really giddy about the possibilities :~)
LOL! That was fun!
