Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Heh, looks like it's getting closer. Just got back from the range and lunch; we'll be tarping the vechicles shortly. Drove past the supermarket, looks like they are doing some business. "Light Wintery Mix" sigh....OB
Looks like the g'nads are getting more ice...
...and the squirrels are working on their nests some more. I wonder if they have Home Depot for squirrels.
Why do they need HomeDepot? The squirrels have these great leaf and compost areas that magically appeared in the backyard. We had six squirrels in the front yard and a dozen dozen doves in the back; hmmm dinner...
Heh...they could upgrade their building material...
...like the fiberglass batting I've got in my crawlspace.
Mmm... Home Depot...
Doing a run there shortly. The drywall is almost all up on the ceiling. By the end of the weekend we should be ready to switch to mud-tape-sand mode. I can't wait to get to paint and finish mode.
I've been cleaning out the fridge and freezer.
We've got flurries!
Affirmative, same here. OB
Okay...all the UFO's and URO's have been identified and dealt with. Think I'll have a nice cup of tea and watch the snow fall.
We looked at Canisius College in Buffalo NY, for Clare, and it had the same set up. Tunnels went from building to building, so that in the winter, the kids never had to go outside to get to any building on campus. Handy in a place where they get so much snow every year.
Frankly I can't wait for the slugfest among the Dem candidates. It will be even more entertaining than the one among the Repubs!
I'm taking a break and having a cup of coffee.
I got cat-trapped.
