The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Lonnnnng ago when we had TV, we'd see that, the Rudolph movie, Frosty...and another very strange claymation movie that was supposed to be the story of Santa Claus but which was just rather silly.

Mostly we'd just watch movies, though. I've seen "Holiday Inn" and "It's a Wonderful Life" so many times I could recite scenes from memory.

And I still wouldn't mind watching them again. Should have thought ahead on that.

WooHoo--just had a Brown Creeper at the log suet feeder!! Have only seen a downy woodpecker before today and that little guy is going to get to fat to fly if he keeps chowing down on the suet.

Well, that's living dangerously--don't forget to turn it down before you leave. You did turn it down, didn't you?

He's back at work today after having surgery yesterday

Glad to hear the surgery went well! Wish he'd use this three-day weekend to rest and let it heal....LSA

I can't take credit for the car setup...just the writing. That card was part of the Christmas decorations at our VW Christmas party. I don't know where it came from...

Well I've put it off long enough. Time to get the samples in the fridge...Just had the measurements for the 20-guage insulated imitation wood grain taken. :)
