Well, I started a bit early. But I don't go back to Fangorn until January 3.
Good support will never go amiss. ;o)
How wonderful! I was told I was lucky to get the two days I did. *sigh* I go back on Wednesday.
Mom's here. House isn't clean yet. 2/3 of the presents are wrapped, 1/2 of the goodies are cooked.
But it's going to be a great Christmas!

G'nad gets a three day weekend!!!
He's back at work today after having surgery yesterday. They reconnected his nerve in his finger. We were gone all day,left the kids with friends, and combined the trip with some shopping. He was at the docs from 11-4. So, on the bright side, I'm done shopping!!! :-)

Congrats on finishing the shopping! Hope the surgery went well and recovery is speedy.
Thanks. It went well, but I can tell it hurts...though he would never complain about the pain.

It was my oldest bother's 18th birthday yesterday. He's at community college... wants to be an engineer when he grows up. Sigh. The bothers released on the world, that's scary.
Um, yeah, that could make her back hurt. Sheesh.
I found out last night when I called to wish my brother happy birthday that a girl I'd known in homeschooling circles years ago just got killed in a car accident. She'd gotten into drugs and in and out of rehab and it sounds like her parents were just waiting for something like that to happen.
What a cheery way to start the morning.

Today is the last day of school...we're just doing any tests that are due today. Going to be nice laid back day.
Which is good because I woke up with a sinus headache and a bad case of vertigo. Days like these, I'm especially grateful for my hot cup of Mother's Day coffee waiting for me. Half the battle is reaching for it!

Last year, Steve completely forgot our anniversary for the first time in 14 years. This year, I reminded him this morning via email...gave him a little hint...said "How long has it been?"
He wrote back and said it's been a great 14 years.
