The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Seems to me ksen had contact info for LCS.

'course that was a while back and if he's in the hospital, that may not help.

I have his brother's email address and I sent him a note already with my well wishes. Hopefully he'll keep us updated and I'll send message to him that way.

I almost forgot.

Lowes has those red bells you were talking about. Or something very similar.

You name the time, since the late night matters most for you. I think Rosie gets home around 6 - we're a lot more flexible than that.

Usually somewhere between five thirty and six. And I can always jump in a little way in.

Ah, they did have enough for lunch. That's good. I'll pick them up more whne I grab my lunch. How're you guys doing?

Having a productive morning. I can't quite get in the coding zone but I am making good headway anyway. It just requires thought, rather than code zen.

I'm probably good if we say 9 or even 9:30 EST. 9:30 might give y'all the chance to get settled.

Hey... have any of you seen anything on the news about some major police activity in Bellevue? I've looked around the usual sources and haven't found anything.

On the way in to the office this morning there was some kind of conflagration on 164th, the road I always take to the office. County and City, State patrol, had the road blocked off and were just turning people around. Maybe more than a dozen cop cars. They had that big RV mobile command center a few houses down, along with an ambulance and guys walking around wearing plastic ponchos.

Maybe a meth lab? Not a very good place for one, given the number of people around and high traffic. Maybe something else? Dunno, but it seemed like a lot of attention.

I was downstairs starting laundry and one of the puppies crawled into bed with him. They know they're not supposed to do that.

Aww. He was just trying to make Talon feel better! ;o) Showing some empathy, ya know?
