Sorry, I found the movie slow and boring!
Dialogue was lacking . . . .
We're recording it--I think Hallmark usually has a lot of commercials.
Thanks for the ping. I found the Hallmark Channel.
YAY!
I've got the movie on DVD, and watched it a year ago this month. ;)
Hi Big Sky .. how are you doing? Did you like it? I've heard SO many good reviews, I'm looking forward to it, tho some here
haven't been so positive.
I thought the movie was fascinating. I watched it with my mother and my grandfather, while the rest of the family played board games last Thanksgiving. It's worth it if you appreciate nature documentaries.
Expecting the first flood of relatives on Monday.
It was the most boring movie ever...just a stretched out Natl Geographic special. The voiceover made me want to throttle the actor.
Hang in there ... God bless you with strength and peace.
They've already made their intentions known with dad. Dad gave me the warning when he was here earlier today. I hid what I wanted to keep (after getting grandma's permission) or what my grandmother didn't write up in the will but personally said I could have.
Despite the stern talking to by grandma, the aunt's think they're entitled to the house and most items in it and grandma's car. They may think they are entitled to the car, but they'll have to have dad write off on it, and he's not about to, since his name and grandma's name are the only names on the title. Beyond that, dad was grandma's legal guardian, and is the executor of her estate. So anything will have to be agreed upon by him.
Y'all may fry my grits for this but here is the review I posted on amazon.com of this movie.
I would give this a sub-ZERO rating if I could, November 13, 2006
Brainwashing is not a good way to educate young people about the world around them. This is a blatant effort to wrench young children's emotions and therefore their perspectives about the eeeevil effects of "global warming" by engaging their sympathies. The only plot is brainwashing, using penguins as the straw man. The penguin world is factually well documented if one is interested in teaching children about them. As a responsible parent, I would avoid this entirely.
Thanks! I liked that movie as did my curmudgeon of a husband. :)
I loved that movie...in fact I rented and watched it three times..
The penguins are amazing..so intelligent..the harsh conditions in which they live under at times in order to survive and protect their young. Walk 60/70 miles to meet a mate then breed, go without food for months. It is incrediable what they go through. You or I would never survive.
If some people today cared about their young as the penguins do we have a much better society today in which we live in.

I don't know what movie you watched, but I saw nothing about global warming in "March of the Penguins."
Excellent movie for children.
