You Do Not Need My Vote (but you can have our zot)
Me

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. - Ephesians 6:12

Please be at the very least honest when you say "vote". You do not mean "vote", you mean "Vote for the Republicans".

Votes are earned, not due. You vote FOR something, not against. The "For" negates the "against" in voting.

To me (a Born-again Christian) that means abandoning my principles, holding my nose, compromising on God's Word and voting AGAINST the Democrats. God has to ask me that and HE did not. You have no authority to ask me that.

Voting FOR Republican means voting AGAINST what is best for America, my family, your family-and serving the Republicans-no matter what. Just to get rid of the Democrats.

The Republican Party does not represent me and America...it represents itself and the "rest of the world". George Washington would never have aligned himself with The Republican party at all. He would have been called a right-wing extremist for doing so. But he would have stuck to his guns anyways, like he did with the British and Americans of his day.

The Republican Party lost because it does not represent what is best for America. No one wanted to vote for it.

Been in power since 1994? Which member of The Republican party prosecuted the Clintons in 1994, 2000 or 2006 for Filegate? Travelgate? 1,000 other "gates"? Certainly not our "fearless leader", George Bush. He wanted to "unite"........how sweet. Then let's REALLY unite and let ALL criminals out of jail. Let's all hold hands and sing Kumbayaa. And let the Clintons get away with eight MORE years of abject corruption.

Which top member of The Republican Party came to the aid of Judge Roy Moore? The President? No. The Leadership? No.

Which member of The Republican Party put forth a bill banning the murder of innocent unborn children in this country and wiped it out completely, years ago? And be backed up by the other members of The Republican Party? Over and over to the point of being attacked in the media and still standing their ground?

Which member of The Republican Party came out in a press conference at least once since 1994 and called for a showing of the murder of innocent unborn children in this country, because people are still in the Dark Ages and need to know what abortion actually is? And be backed up by the other members of The Republican Party? Over and over to the point of being attacked in the media and still standing their ground? That not one woman would come forward to have her abortion filmed would be proof that it is evil, since we have reality TV daily with blood and guts.

None. Abortion is still legal.

Which members of The Republican Party voted to place our military on the border (next to the Texas-CA wall) of the U.S. with orders to shoot invaders? Which leader has the guts to not fear the U.N. and call our border invasion a war, saying we have a right to defend ourselves from invaders in any war? And be backed up by the other members of The Republican Party? Which leader please?

Which leader of The Republican Party was so brave as to not care to be called "narrow-minded, bigoted" and declare homosexuality to be wrong? Which leader?

Which leader of The Republican Party called for all federal funding removed for the ACLU? NEA?

Which leader of The Republican Party will admit that America is going downhill because we have adopted the 60s hippie values of immoral behavior? Which one?

Which leader of The Republican Party had the guts and decency to say, "let's bomb the nuclear facility in Iran, and forget the U.N....or let's let Israel do it"? Which one? Without fear of the U.N., major media, Democrats?

Which leader of The Republican Party called for a flat tax, or national sales tax, to wipe out the IRS once and for all? And stuck to it so hard until they won, enduring being mocked, until finally the IRS was wiped out? Which one? Which leader?

Which leader of The Republican Party called for the complete removal and dismantling of the U.N. in NYC? And introduced a bill to make that happen? To the point that it got passed and now the U.N. is not followed by our soldiers on the battlefield? So they can more effectively do their jobs? Which one by name please?

When was the last time you heard a leader of The Republican Party call America a "JUDEO-CHRISTIAN" country and not a "religious" one (which we are not)? Over and over to the point of being attacked in the media and still standing their ground? Which one?

Which leader of The Republican Party called for the completely dismantling of "Child Protective Services"? Which one? Without fear, until it was completely removed? When was it removed?

Which leader of The Republican Party came out over and over and called "Global Warming" junk science, saying that other third-world nations were not required to live by the same standards as the U.S.?

Which leader of The Republican Party has come out and said that we need to impose tariffs on all good coming into this country to balance trade? Which one? And got it passed?

Which member of The Republican Party called for the complete dismantling of all waste in social entitlement programs, without fear of being called "cold, heartless"? So that we could spend more money on defense and have proper weaponry and not have to cannibalize planes to keep going? And stuck to their guns?

The founding fathers were Christians and Jews.....not Muslims, Atheists, Pagans, Hindus, Buddhists.

Which member of The Republican Party corrected and admonished our country for incorrectly saying, "This is not a war against Islam"? Which one?

If it is not a war against Islam, it needs to be, so why isn't it? Because every leader of The Republican Party is in love with and fears the U.N. more than they fear the U.S. They fear "offending Muslims"…..but not Christians and Israel.

Which member of The Republican Party said, "Islam is not included in the concept of 'Freedom of Religion' since Islam does not include 'Freedom of Religion'?”, then proceeded to list all countries of all of the deaths of Christians in Muslim countries? Which leader? Oh, please tell me so I can vote for him/her.

Which leader of The Republican Party actually came out one day in a press conference and said these bold words.....

"Where did the ACLU and the American left get this nutty idea that "Separation of Church and State" is some kind of law? It is not in the Constitution and I defy you to show me it in there. If it is not in there, it is not to be legislated. It is 'Freedom OF Religion', not Freedom FROM Religion'"?"

Which one echoed this and repeated it so much people in the media became angry and called for their ouster and they stuck to their guns? Which leader,by name, please? SO I can vote for him/her?

The leaders of The Republican Party call people like me (Christian Right) FAR right nut jobs. They do not want me.....they want my vote. They want "moderate" votes. I am not a moderate. God does not want moral moderates.

I never abandoned my Republican Party.....the abandoned me...up to the voting part. They still want that.

When the Republican Party can get some of the above done, it will be useful. It is incapable, and gutless. They live in fear.

They fear losing votes...they fear being called names in the media, they fear Hillary (she has their FBI file still), they fear Democrats, they fear Muslims being offended here in the U.S....but they do not fear offending Christian Republicans.

Both parties are just that…one big, huge party. Parties are for fun.

A vote for one of two corrupt Parties is a corrupt, meaningless vote. People who call for “Third Parties” are called “divisive, vote stealers, losers”. Have it your way then. Have your two parties.

Bring your Republican Party back to George Washington's values, or go downhill....no matter who wins. It is either a slow path or a fast one...........for my 46 years now, so far.

The first step to solutions and change for the better is introspective........not finger pointing. I know I need to change for the better.........does the Republican Party know it has to? Or does it think my vote is "due" and only I have to change?

"Anything but the Democrats" means just that...."anything". The "Lesser of two evils" is still EVIL.

Stop the lies. You do not want me to vote. You want me to vote REPUBLICAN.

And when you lose? Do not point fingers my way. Ask the Republicans why they did not EARN the Right’s votes.

His, (The Founder of This Country) Bob Z.

Why did Christ tell Peter to fish from the "RIGHT" side of the boat? Peter was already a fisherman by trade, and Christ already told him that Peter was to be a fisherman of men.

At the very least NO conservative should have lost in this past election, cause their loss turned the people's House to the very thing you claim you are against.

And Roy Moore was a self-serving nut. Nobody with a right mind would go near him.

No finger pointing here. We agree objectives for the most part.

Where we disagree (as fellow "evangelicals")is on the process. I believe that incremental progress is better than no progress at all.

I also believe that we are given the gift of discernment because life is more often compromise than simple black and white easy choicees.

I also believe that, objectively, the failure to vote for the better of two choices is an active vote for the worst possible choice.

My tag line is what I believe God is saying to the church in America right now. I look at Hollywood and the cesspool that is entertainment and I am so discouraged and fearful for our nation and my grandchildren.

That being said, I did vote straight party ticket BECAUSE we were given Alito and Roberts, and the Supreme Court is where the battle is right now. However, if America repented to the point of personal accountability and individual obedience to God, out of a personal desire to do so, we wouldn't have to worry about abortion or any other sin bringing judgment on our country.

With all due respect I don't get this viewpoint.

I don't know why people think that a political movement can make massive changes in an instant. This view is seen in his statement of yours
"None. Abortion is still legal. "

Dude have you been paying attention. We are trying to get the best judges on the bench to overturn it. What did you expect George Bush and the Republicans to end it magically. ALso while we are on that topic what happened in South Dakota . Seems like the politicains did what we wanted but we religious voters couldnt deliver the deal when there was a statewide vote. Just saying blaming politicians all the time is a easy out.

The country is designed basically to make vast change hard to do. You might not like so incremential change but its better than the other direction.

As a social conservative I can't complain about the GOP

Incrementalism is fine, as long as it works towards conservative goals.

But I don't see the Bush administration working, incrementally or not, towards many conservative goals.

Immigration? How is an amnesty package for illegals working TOWARDS ending illegal immigration? It doesn't.

As an example:

Incrementalism might have introduced laws that ended federal/state/local benefits for those that cannot prove a legal reason for being in the US. For, officially, the only people that are supposed to be in the US are those that are supposed to be in the US, right?

And how many illegals would stay in America if they had no police protection, no fire department protection, no schools for their children, no welfare, no medical care, etc, etc?

------

As for the UN? Has there been any sort of incremental workings towards their removal? Anything?

Maybe New York City might actually ticket the UN ambassadors' cars for illegal parking? Maybe the US could withdraw it's funding of the UN?

Instead, we grovel before the UN, begging 'permission' to defend ourselves against Islamofascism. If that's incrementalism, then it's working in the wrong direction, AGAIN.

-----

As for a strong defense... how is incrementalism working on that one?

Well, currently the Air Force is cutting 20,000 troops... in a time of war.

So, that looks like incrementalism is working to reduce our military strength in a time of war... and that, my friend, was under a Republican president AND a Republican controlled House and Senate.

Republicans may talk as if they want a strong military, but they are no better than Democrats when it comes to follow-through. The last time we had anyone that really gave a d@mn about the military was with Reagan. Ever since, the Republicans have been riding on his legacy.

So, while incrementalism is a great idea, it's been used (again) to work against conservative goals... by the Republicans (and Democrats, too).

----

The point is... is that incrementalism can only work in favor of conservative goals... if we have a political party that champions conservative goals.

And neither the Republicans nor the Democrats are conservative.

But neither party will do so. At best, we'd get a judge that simply slows down the accelerating pace towards liberalism.

It's like Islam... radicals and moderates both want the same thing, it's just that one group wants it done faster than the other.

Democrats want a liberal, San Francisco-like America TODAY!

And Republicans (nowadays) simply want it to happen in five or ten years.

Whoopee!!!

Right on, baby. Right on.

I'm glad the GOP lost. All the Republicans do is send the country to hell a little bit slower. When this country has a real conservative party, I'll vote for it. But when the choice is Liberal or Liberal Lite? The faster the whole corrupt mess comes crashing down, the sooner a real conservative party can come to power.

Conservatism has little to do with tax rates, free trade zones, the availability of pornography, or right-to-work laws. Those are all liberal preoccupations. We haven't had a true national conservative party in the United States because our beloved nation was unfortunately founded on the principles of the Enlightenment (liberty, equality, and fraternity) instead of upon the conservative ideals of Altar, Crown, and Family. Real conservatism is diametrically opposed to the ideals of the Enightenment. Real conservatism is about conserving the only things that matter: the Judeo-Christian religion, human life, the human family, and the natural order of human society.

I love this country. I am a patriot. But sadly our country was founded upon the very ideas that split Western Civilization into a million fragments: the enshrinement of the goddesses of Individual Liberty and Materialist Reason in place of Duty and Devotion to God. We have held together as a nation for so long in spite of these ideas, not because of them; we were united not by the Constitution but by a shared language, a shared culture, and a shared Judeo-Christian worldview. Those days are gone now. The American Revolution, like all rebellions, must now progress to its ultimate state -- chaos -- before an organic and living Western civilization can arise to take its place.
