Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psalm 127:1>
At this time, when feelings run high, the world seems crazy, and anger seems to be the one thing the peoples of the world have in common, I invite you, my fellow FReepers, to join me in prayers and meditation for guidance, God's help and for our fellow man, for America, our troops, and all our own needs.
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Fathers throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempters snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
Psalm 46: 1-3
There is No Other God but Me,
a Just God and a Savior.
There is None but Me.
Let all the World Look to Me for Salvation!
For I am God; there is No Other.
I have Sworn by My Own Name;
I have Spoken the Truth,
and I will Never Go Back on My Word:
Every knee will Bend to Me,
And Every Tongue will Confess Allegiance to Me.
In Jehovah is All my Righteousness and Strength,"
The People Shall Declare. (Is.45:21-24)
Be Just and Fair to All,
The Lord God Says.
Do what's Right and Good,
For I am Coming Soon to Rescue you. (Is.56:1)
I Made you and I will Care for you.
I will Carry you Along,
And be your Savior. (Is.46:5)

Your post from Isaiah 45 brought to my mind this favorite Word from Deuteronomy 32:39 -
"See now that I, I am He,
and there are no gods together with Me;
I put to death, and I bring to life,
and there is none delivering out of My hand."
Happy Thanksgiving, dear ((periwinkle))!
Amen! with great thanks to God for your song and prayer, ((Pegita))!
May this be the Song of our Land.......
1Ch 16:23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth! Tell of his salvation from day to day.
1Ch 16:24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
1Ch 16:25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be held in awe above all gods.
1Ch 16:26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
1Ch 16:27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his place.
1Ch 16:28 Ascribe to the LORD, O clans of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength!
1Ch 16:29 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness;
1Ch 16:30 tremble before him, all the earth; yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.
1Ch 16:31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns!"
1Ch 16:32 Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it!
1Ch 16:33 Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.
1Ch 16:34 Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
1Ch 16:35 Say also: "Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather and deliver us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.
This is the song that the sons of Asaph sang before the tabernacle when the Ark of the Covenenat was brought back from the house of Obed-edom.
May we sanctify ourselves and obey God and may He return to us as a nation in His Power. Let us Glorify the Lord that He may rise on our praise and that we may be His people again.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. We give Thanks to Him for His Mercy and Love.
Many Blessings to all your households and heartfelt good wishes.

Hugs to you too, and best wishes for a great day...

Thanksgiving Morning Prayer Bump!
A Prayer of Thanks
Dear Lord,
Thank you for sunny days
that follow after the storm,
for friends who let you talk or let you be silent
as the need arises,
for those little touches of love and light
that come, unexpectedly,
and o so frequently just when we need it.
Thank you Lord,
For letting yourself
be born on this earth,
to see those sunny days with human
as well as Godlike eyes,
for knowing what it really is like
to have friends who don't always understand,
but want to be with you,
who deal with your need for silence,
or your need to explain,
for experiencing how much those little touches
of love and light
really mean.
Thank you Lord,
for walking those dusty paths
to teach us your truth,
For showing us other ways
to deal with enemies
besides hatred and anger
for chosing the road to Golgotha,
for being Emmanuel.
Lord,
give me a grateful heart
and a mind to know
that no matter how dark the moment,
or sad the event,
you know what it means,
how it tastes,
how it aches,
how it devastates,
and that you will be there
to hold my hand
until the moment you bring me home.
Amen.
I hope everyone has a warm Thanksgiving!!
Amen, Pegita.
Amen, bperiwinkle7.
While we celebrate and give thanks here, please remember so many people around the world touched by terror and war and loss...so much pain in the world caused by sin, hate, and the evil that men choose to do. Lord have mercy on this sad world, and help those of us who love you to be your salt, light and leaven wherever possible.
