Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psalm 127:1>
At this time, when feelings run high, the world seems crazy, and anger seems to be the one thing the peoples of the world have in common, I invite you, my fellow FReepers, to join me in prayers and meditation for guidance, God's help and for our fellow man, for America, our troops, and all our own needs.
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Fathers throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempters snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
William Bradbury
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
Psalm 46: 1-3
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Lord you will always have a witness to that True Light. Help us to not extinguish the Lamp of your Word as we walk through our day. Daniel lived in a day when your True Worship was suppressed, yet you had a witness that was true because it is of Your Spirit, and it is of Your Power.
Zec 4:6 Then he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.
Let not the witness of your church be extinguished in this country, I ask in Jesus' Name....
Psa 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Let your Light shine Jesus.
Luk 11:33 "No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.
Mar 4:21 And he said to them, "Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand?
Mar 4:22 For nothing is hidden except to be made manifest; nor is anything secret except to come to light.
Mar 4:23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."
Mat 5:15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
Mat 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Evening prayer bump!
Out of the depths I cry unto you,
O Lord,
My Light and my Hope.
The darkness is deep today,
O Lord,
and I feel the waters rising
that threaten to sweep me away,
and in my fear
and in my anxiety
and in my hope
and in my longing,
I cry out to you.
Lord,
From dust you made me,
to dust will my body return,
but it is you who put the life in me,
it was you who breathed his last
so that I might live,
it was you who shattered death
so that you might take me home.
In the darkness of my fears
show me Golgotha, Lord,
that I might kneel
in the shadow of your cross
and see how much you care.
In the depths of my anxieties, O Lord,
show me your empty tomb,
and the hope you left with us
so we know your word is true.
When I feel so overwhelmed,
show me the Garden,
and how you sanctified the struggle
to do the right thing,
the Father's will
with your own dark moment.
O Lord,
who lets my cry come unto you,
who sends back the word,
"I know.
I am there with you.
I will never leave you alone,"
I trust in you,
be thou my strength,
my life,
my hope,
this day and always,
Amen.
Psa 17:7 Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand.
Psa 17:8 Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings,
Psa 17:9 from the wicked who do me violence, my deadly enemies who surround me.
Hide me Lord from the wickedness that surrounds us. Let my eyes see you, and behold you beauty and your goodness.
Psa 27:4 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.
Psa 27:5 For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.
Lord you are faithful. Help us to draw near.
Psa 119:18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.
Psa 119:19 I am a sojourner on the earth; hide not your commandments from me!
Lord give us your Word and we will be satisfied. I pray that You will revive us and turn this people back to you in a mighty Salvation.
We ask for rest and peace this night. Help those who are in difficulty and bring healing and comfort and relief for our brethren wherever they are. We love you Lord Jesus.
I love You Lord
and I lift my voice
To worship You
O my soul, rejoice!
Take joy, my King
in what you hear
May it be a sweet, sweet sound
in Your ear.
Amen

Amen. Please add a special prayer these days for extra protection for Jenna and Barbara Bush. I am unnerved by these latest incidents with the Secret Service.
I'm also having a very hard time myself, just trying to do what I need to do today and tomorrow. Thank you.

Psa 57:7 My heart is confident, God, my heart is confident. I will sing; I will sing praises.
Psa 57:8 Wake up, my soul! Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn.
Psa 57:9 I will praise You, Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations.
Psa 57:10 For Your faithful love is as high as the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Psa 57:11 God, be exalted above the heavens; let Your glory be over the whole earth.
This day is yours, Lord. You made it and you know what's in it. Protect us from evil and lead us in paths of righteousness for your Name's sake. Strengthen us and uphold us with your strong right hand. Your ear is attentive to our cry today. Lead us to that Rock which is higher than we are......Amen
Thank you, pinz! Not getting there yet, but hope to. I know what you mean about the difference between needs and wants, believe me!
Happy Thanksgiving Day Eve, to you and all in our Prayer Room!

I also am unnerved by the Barbara Bush purse snatching event, as well as the motorcade cycle crash, mechanical problems with Air force 1, the White House staffer beaten and robbed in Waikiki, and the Secret Service Man later robbed and beaten in Argentina after the purse incident.........
Lord You are able to do all things according to your mighty will, and there is none to prevent you. We ask protection from the enemy for our President and his family and for our military and all those who serve in the government, for all health care workers, law enforcement agents, teachers, students, your people everywhere. Let your love be over this nation, and hover over us by your Spirit today. Expose works of darkness that they might be prevented. Give wisdom to the wise, since they know what to do with it, and shut the mouths of liars. I ask this in Jesus' Name, that's above All names, that at the Name of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is LORD, to the Glory of the Father!

Amen!
You know, I love you guys. I thank God that He is causing us to continue in prayer; and I'll have some of that for our fatigued sister.....
Psa 115:1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!
Psa 115:2 Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?"
Psa 115:3 Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.
Oh, thank you, thank you! Blessed Lord, all praise to Him whose Providence has been so abundant in my life today.
I was not only able to walk to the places I needed to go, but also got to share my Joy with my only live prayer warrior partner at the "finish line". My small journey was peaceful and non-stressful. Such a simple task seemed so overwhelmingly out-of-reach.
May everyone's bushel baskets also be loaded, packed down and overflowing as ours are today. Thank you all so much! I never would've believed it possible yesterday or even earlier this morning.
Praise the Lord!
Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,
Psa 31:23 Love the LORD, all you his saints! The LORD preserves the faithful but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride.
Psa 31:24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD!
Psa 145:13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. [The LORD is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.]
Psa 145:14 The LORD upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.
Psa 145:15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season.
Psa 145:16 You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
Psa 145:17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works.
Psa 145:18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Psa 145:19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.
Psa 145:20 The LORD preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
Psa 145:21 My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
Oh Heavenly Father, may we never grow weary of praising you. Time after time, every time, you meet our needs and supply us with abundant life. You rejoice our hearts, and make our footsteps light. You send your Blessing and fill us with gladness.
Psa 57:11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!
Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so tomorrow on Thanksgiving Day, like our Brethren before us so long ago, who endured much in obedience to you and gave thanks and remained steadfast.
Oh Lord, make us like the Faithful Witness. Increase in us by your Spirit the very Faithfulness of Jesus that we may be like our Father in Heaven.
1Th 5:23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Th 5:24 He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
