I'm serious, he's behind by 7,000 votes. There is no way a recount will make up that amount of votes. Are there a lot of absentee ballots to be counted or something? I'm really confused about this.
There isn't any vote count to challenge yet.
The official results aren't in.
He can't decide one way or the other until then.
It'll be a couple or three weeks.
Well, that depends if they're 'regular' or 'extra crispy.' Lemme get my flamethrower and let's find out!
As far as why, why not? Who knows what will be found. Lots of post-living registrants?
Hey, that was my line, posted here:

That's what worries me. If he's actually going the recount route, he's going somewhere I can't support him and I don't think good Republicans should support him. Wait for all the votes to come in? Fine, but recount till you make up 7000 votes somehow? No. I didn't support Gore when he did it, I didn't support Gregoire when she did it, and I'll be damned if I change just because the guy is on my side.
Allen is clearly not a very bright person
there really isn't anything else to say
maybe when he runs for dog-catcher, he'll be able to keep his mouth shut a little more (its like he has Tourettes!)
Unbelievable that he threw away a red state like VA (it is red, I live in Nova, and as liberal as a few counties and areas get, they are more than balanced out by the rest of va, Rova as the WP calls it)
Kind of like Alabama Auburn. Historically the Dims think they are entitled and the Republicans are used to losing. The Democrats never accepted second place the whole time they have been second banana. Now, for them, the world has finally righted itself.
That's what they all say about Crak too. A couple of hits here and there and then BOOOM...you are screwed and then elected as the Mayor of Washington D.C.
Because he is a Rep with 1 ball. All the others have 0 balls and will ROLL over and play DEAD even before an election.
Thanks a LOTT reps!
He is waiting for a verification of the vote totals (a "canvass") and for all the absentees/military ballots to come in and get counted. That will tell him how screwed he is and if it's worth pushing it.
He's 7400 votes down, .31% out of 2,367,032. That's within the trigger of a recount. So he's really got nothing to lose by hanging tough. As I said on another thread, I'd expect Webb to do the same thing in the same situation and wouldn't begrudge it one bit. Webb can push on with his "transition team" because, let's face it, he's probably the winner. But Allen's sticking with things is reasonable given how close the votes are.

It depends on whether he's going to look into FRAUD. The DemoncRAT machine is efficient - you know there are at least 10K fraudulent + dead voter + ACORN ballots in the mix ... if he's willing to expose it.
Recounts, perhaps...lawsuits, no.
I hear they were using butterfly ballots in a couple of the precincts. That may explain it.
Don't they have absentee ballots to count? 115000? Thursday?
Have they already counted the absentee ballots? I assume the early votes were already tallied with thier precincts.
But isn't it also true that every time someone responds to a vanity post with a comment about how awful a vanity post is, two angels lose their wings and halos?

Should I concede or demand a recount?
Great minds and all.
I'm straight now. I promise.
I'm back on the wagon.
Nobody here ceptin' the dazed and shell-shocked...
