I appreciate that - and my wife and I enjoy the "Food Network" channel very much. Our favorite shows are "Good Eats," "Unwrapped," and Rachel Ray's "_____ on $40 a day." "Iron Chef" is also fun to watch...
Yeah, unwrapped is great too.
On Rachel's '$40.00 a Day' just once I want to see her go over the limit. Maybe some day. Plus she does visit many interesting destinations and always has good ideas for finding off the beaten path deals and great food.
You have men confused with pre-adolescent boys. Men like real women, not the insects that you describe above.
Yes, the sight of Giada does induce me to vomit too.
Curious question if I may... what does the sight of you do to people??? ;) :)
Alton Brown rules it! Actually the whole Food Network crew rules it!
I am torn - I am a huge Giada fan (what man isn't)! She is the 'uptown girl' to Ray's 'downtown girl.' I go more for 'uptown,' what can I say?
But I strongly prefer Maria Batali to Bobby Flay (though they are both good). I'd rather they teamed up Giada & Mario!
I'll tune in for sure! WOW!
I believe Rachel Ray is at least 1/4 Italian, but I could be wrong.
Giada is a purebred, like me. FBI!! :)
Now there is an idea. The Italians (Batali and Giada) vs. the New Yorkers (flay and Ray). I know Rachel is from New York State and Bobby Flay lives in New York City (not sure where he is from originally).
Some things are so ghastly that they cannot be discussed in a public forum. (I might look like your twin?)
Why does Giada have to tease me like that??? I'm just a man!!!
Why do they call it iron chef? Do they cook only in cast iron implements?
The two daughters of my best friend here in Boulder call me 'Super Joe' because they think I look like Joe Sakic of the Colorado Avalanche.
I'd vote for that! With male chefs, I have to confess, I just don't trust one unless he is fat. That's why I prefer Mario. :-)
The origin is from the Japanese Iron Chef. Not sure why 'iron chef' specifically. I'll have to look that up somewhere.
Seriously, Giada is not a 'great woman.' She is a hideous, grotesquely under-weight, wealthy media creation, who is only on the FN as a favor to her wealthy and powerful family.
It's the poor scarecrow who's doing the throwing up--she cooks Italian! ...right...Pasta, love it, is not figure-friendly, as Rachel would say.
I don't know if you've noticed, but a lot of people on FR tend to have opinions--on everything. Food is a passion-inducing thing. I love to cook, and I love Food Network. My team will be Rachel Ray's! I've seen her put together a smashing Thanksgiving meal in 30--think what she can do in 45!
Yeah, Mario's annoying, but not as annoying as some of the female chefs.
I don't know about talentless, but Rachael Ray, with her Sally Field personality and her food orgasms, sure is annoying.
Other annoying hosts:
Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa), with her saccharine smile.
Paula Deen - need I say why?
Good example.
If 'cuteness' is the question, then the truly breastless women seem to win hands down, such as Hepburn, Sandra Dee.
For me, it takes a bit of meat on the rack to get me in the store.
