Wow. Hard to believe that this is the largest single collection of my works and thoughts. (Anyone know an easy way to pull an archive copy of all my posts?)
Think about it, how many forums are worth 50,000 posts?
No other ones in my estimation!
Thanks to Jim for building this virtual house, and turning it into a home for so many of us.
I'd also like to thank everyone who has invited me into their studies, offices, living rooms, bedrooms, and cubicles. You are all people I would like to meet some day, those of you who have agreed with me, and especially those who have disagreed with me.
The civil discourse, reasoned responses, Richter scale sarcasm, humor, and irony available on FreeRepublic is without peer. I feel like I've gotten a college level education in darn near everything!
There is always a FReeper somewhere who knows the inside scoop on anything, and is willing to share what they can about any given topic. It is so refreshing to be pulled up short on an incorrect concept by someone who actually has experience, not just book larnin', and can explain the facts of the matter in a clear, concise, and (usually) respectful manner.
You are all responsible for major changes in my understanding of, and attitudes towards, much of what I see in the world. It hasn't always been smooth transitions, and the road has been awfully bumpy in places, but it as always been worth the trip. Not a bad journey for a fat old fart...
Well, there doesn't seem much left to say that I haven't already said before, so what's the point? That and the various factions I tended to 'hang with' on FR have by and large moved on or been evicted, so that's a big part of it too. I like to keep up with the buzz on topics that interest me, while aside from that I just tend to my ping list and post my election ratings. Of course that's about to wrap up any day now!
Me neither, maybe he'll tell us...
My total:
You've posted a total of 32 threads and 24,337 replies.
Wow.
Hmmm... that cant be right!
LOL!!!
(You know Howlin is a "she", Null and Mischievous!)
:D
And no, I don't think she'll say....
Do the math. You've averaged around 72 posts per week for 8 years running.
I think that certifies you as an official Freeper. :)
Null<---> great post! And, WOW!
Moonmad27, 0 articles posted and over 2700 replies. Never posted an article, never will (too afraid of all the "hey, this is a DUPLICATE!!!!" taunts that would follow, despite my best efforts to make sure it hadn't been posted before).
I think you should give me a job then. LOL I would like a 'real' paycheck. I've been self employed for too many years. I know how that works. ;o)
We seem to have the same birthday.
Nope. Not at all.
I still submit that any sufficiently motivated enemy can figure out a way to knock out electrical power in most of the USA, either by an overt frontal sabotage attack, or by a more subtle malware attack convincing the operators that everything is just ducky while the automatic systems are frying one component after another.
Time will tell, in the meanwhile there is certainly no shortage of swarthy electrical engineering students being trained in our universities...
Mischievous? Ma'am? ME???
Know anything about wafer processing, photolithography, etching, plating, and/or plasma processing?
Yep, that's how I discovered it. I'm post #40 on that thread...

"That one was a vanity."
I see we cross-posted. Anyway, it was funny then how a bunch of people jumped on me about vanities, blah blah, and some of them had just joined. If one can't have fun here, one probably shouldn't be here.
You've posted a total of 493 threads and 23,664 replies.
I beat you on threads, but you're more than double my posts....
