Dear Senator Kerry,
Just a note to introduce you to my son, John, the one you said was in Iraq because he couldnt cut it in college. He is a member of the Second Marines, Second Light Armored Brigade now serving in the Al Anbar province of Iraq. For the past month he has been recovering from injuries he sustained in an IED attack, but hopes to be back on the streets of Iraq by the middle of this month. It is already his second tour in Iraq. He came home on a stretcher from his first tour last year.
He joined the Marines following his sophomore year of college at Appalachian State University where he was a walk-on member of the football team. He played linebacker. The summer he joined the Marines, he was taking two courses to re-gain his eligibility for football. He completed the courses with an A and a B.
During that summer, he was involved in a car accident where his life was spared. He realized that if God could protect him through that terrible incident, he could protect him in Iraq. You see, Senator, he has always wanted to be in the military, but was deep down fearful of going. Education for John, was the alternative. It took the accident to show him where he truly wanted to be.
John is a courageous warrior. He is something you never were or never will be. You went to Vietnam because you had to. You came home as soon as you possibly could with contrived injuries. You disgraced your uniform and your unit by the false accusations you made about your brothers-in-arms before the United State Senate. You have no business lecturing John or any other serving member of the United States military about why they are where they are.
And you owe my son and his brothers in arms a personal and heart-felt apology for your remarks. Those comments were a disgrace to you, to your state of Massachusetts and to the Senate of the United States.
Sincerely,
Greg M.
Salisbury, NC
Thanks for the ping!
Thanks Rob. Greg M, thanks for your letter. Your son, John, is America's finest. John, thanks.
*BUMP and a prayer*
My son too is a US Marine Lance Corporal, he dropped out of college after his 3rd year where he was consistently on the "Dean's List" with grades well above average. When I asked him why he was leaving school to join he said, "Dad, this is my generation's war and I need to be there." He has actually been assigned a safe billet for the time being, but he and his outfit are combat training to go to war at a facility with buildings like one finds in the M.E.
Our lousy wretch of a US Senator, Debbie Stabenow has come out in support of Kerry's position. As far as I'm concerned the blood of every one of warriors who falls in this war is on the hands of the terrorists, but also on the hands of their fellow travelers here--Kerry, Stabenow, Karl Lenin, John Conyers, MSM, Moveon.org, Michael Moore, etc.
Thanks to you and your son for what they are doing, I hope Little Debbie Stabenow is sent packing in less than a week, I think it is going to happen now. (And Granholm too). The terrorist-enablers here in this country deserve much worse than they are getting.
I'm not sure what would be just desserts for Kerry, but he should be loudly booed whenever he ventures out into the public, and he should be forced to end his political life. But the party of Ted Kennedy and Robert KKK. Byrd is unlikely to force him out. It is up to the people of MA.
thanks for sending your prayers.
Bumperoo.
thanks for the bump.
thanks for the bump and the prayers!
Have a great day everyone, I'll be gone till late tonight. Please keep the prayers and well-wishes for John the Marine coming...
John Kerry is a disgrace when he speaks of our troops in his contemptful manner.
That was verbal smackdown on Kerry.
Mark, Rush, Sean, and anyone else reading this that has the ability to get the word out ..... PLEASE DO SO!
Wonderful letter. Thank you for posting & many thanks to this brave soldier for his service!
Thanks for the ping
