THE HAUNTED PALACE
BY E. A. POE, ESQ.
In the greenest of our valleys By good angels tenanted, Once a fair and stately palace Snow-white palace reared its head. In the monarch thought's dominion It stood there!
Never Seraph spread his pinion Over fabric half so fair. Banners yellow, glorious, golden, On its roof did float and flow This all this was in the olden Time long ago
And every gentle air that dallied, In that sweet day, Along the rampart plumed and pallid, A winged odour went away. All wanderers in that happy valley,
Through two luminous windows saw Spirits moving musically To a lute's well tuned law, Round about a throne where sitting (Porphyrogene!) In state his glory well befitting,
The sovereign of the realm was seen. And all with pearl and ruby glowing Was the fair palace door ; Through which came flowing, flowing, flowing, And sparkling evermore,
A troop of echoes, whose sweet duty Was but to sing In voices of surpassing beauty, The wit and wisdom of their king. But evil things in robes of sorrow, Assailed the monarch's high estate!
Ah, let us mourn for never morrow Shall dawn upon him desolate! And round about his home the glory, That blushed and bloomed, Is but a dim-remembered story Of the old time entombed.
And travelers now within that valley, Through the red-litten windows, see Vast forms that move fantastically To a discordant melody;
While, like a rapid ghastly river, Through the pale door; A hideous throng rush out forever, And laugh but smile no more.<

Yeah, often I have to feign ignorance on some topics. I get in over my head.

Hi Kate -
I didn't know you were 'that way.' My mother is slightly, as am I, but mostly small time stuff like knowing who's on the phone (often before it rings), or thinking of someone I haven't seen in years, and then they are walking up the street. Also, I can think of my son or my husband when he was alive, usually in connection w/stuff I wanted to yell at them about like shoes left out, and they would answer me just like I had called to them outloud. I got used to it.

My internship is full time, Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:00. Then I also have a class that is part of the program and I have Con Law. So...it makes it a little challenging to do homework. Thus the reason I was still working on my paper the day it was due. But I got it done and sent before I left to go to Walter Reed.

Very tired...lots of chaos going on and I have that acid reflux thing going on now, too.
Otherwise, just peachy.

The bright side is that enough people get the simple stuff and it helps the rest of us to not get pills shoved down our throats for it because there are now finally enough that believe it.

If some of you are not yet aware, I am one of the "resident psychics" at FR. and that is truly a "gift from God" when used properly.. but man VERY scary in the meantime
Looking forward to your material tomorrow & presenting it to the gang.
Interesting & full afternoon /early evening here...dinner at fav mom & pop place in Northfield Center(Farinaccis), movie "The Departed" ....simply awesome. Full of profanity and very intense violence but a great movie with a great cast. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/departed/ .Another flat tire (my poor friend.. two in one evening)Football game ... well we lost & the weather was awful & band "sort of played" but wanted to be part of last game of season.
Radiohead..yes, I did all the graphics. that is "my thing"more or less

I enjoy reading about your "busy bee life".. Much like mine now & over the years...there are crazy folks like us & couch potatoes.. not much in between I have observed. Guess we all need to just embrace & be thankful for who/what we are

wow!!! sounds great. Maybe you can post a thread in Jan/Feb about it? Snugs is doing the scheduling after Jan 1. I want each host/hostess to pick themes/subjects that are of interest to THEM so we can get to know each other & learn a bit.
Take LOTSA pix! Is this a private trip or group?
