Full disclosure: I am a die-hard Mets fan.

I am rooting for the Cards because when the Cards beat the Mets the Yankees fans were dancing in the streets like the lowlifes they all are.

I would love to see the Cards pound the Detroit team that sent the Yankees packing.

My preferred postseason retrospective is that the Yankees lost the first round to the World Series losers and the Mets lost the pennant to the World Series winners, proving that the Mets are the superior NY franchise.
