Tech always plays the tough in Lubbock. This is an upset waiting to happen.
What a sad display. Bring back Gerry Faust!

At least Michigan State won last week! Had to perform the greatest comeback in the history of NCAA Division 1A football to do it, but a win is a win.
I don't think Coach Smith's career will have a similar comeback, however...
I like your GT pick over the disfunctional Hurricanes. Also, hopefully the Irish can cover this week and Weiss's whining will light a fire. Being a die-hard Irishman, I will have to say that Charlie Weiss is a legend in the Media's mind (Notre Dame has only beaten one ranked opponent this year, and will probably remain that way).
Fascinating how ESPN SportsNation has a poll on who wins between Oklahoma and Missouri. With over 12,000 responses, it's a 50-50 tie.
The dirty little secret is that some teams have already played their "12th game", the gimme game allowed this year due to a scheduling quirk and is almost always a major mismatch. Other teams have not. The ones that haven't will get a BCS computer shock when they embarass some little program and lose ground in the computer rankings for the privilege.
Watch that happen with Arkansas and Louisiana-Monroe this week.
I can't believe the College Football Season is over half gone already!
Iowa's starting QB (Drew Tate) is reported out for Saturday game, maybe until the Bowl game, assuming we'll make a bowl.
Still hoping for a Jan 1 FLA bowl if we win out, but the Alamo Bowl is looking more practical. But three of our 4 remaining games are at Kinnick and the last game is at Kinnick North (Minn - there are typically as many Iowa fans as Minny fans).
If the Defense steps up we can do it!
I love college Football!
On Iowa -
Go Hawkeyes!
Remember you can not use the phrase "World Largest Cocktail Party". It makes the President of Georgia all upset. If you do it he may hold hold the letter q hostage.
Hey Mike...I have an interesting situation here in the 6th congressional district of GA. It appears that the republican congressman seeking re-election is a Univ of Michigan grad and the democrat attended Ohio State Univ. Could not believe that when I saw it. LOL!
I'm picking Virginia Tech to win. LOL!!!!
Phew, UGA made it interesting, give em props for hanging in there, but it's not 15 out of 17!!!
..I'm in mourning--the Trojans lost...
Mike keep picking against my Lobos, for the 3rd straight week they win a nail biter! New Mexico 20, Colorado St 19!!
I see Hawaii only scored 68 points this week.
Hey Mike,
Not sure if you have noticed, but former pro QB Jim Harbaugh has been doing a terrific job as head coach at the University of San Diego (Division 1-AA). They've won 24 out of their last 25 games including their last 16 in a row. Their offense has been putting up some real big numbers.
Harbaugh was in the running for the San Diego State job. I am sure he'll get some looks this year for a D-I offensive coordinator job or maybe a "lower level" Division I head coaching job.
Just thought I'd pass it on to you. Thanks again for "running/"officiating" :o) this weekly thread.
