If anyone would like to help me out, I'm doing a research paper on women and national security. (Sorry, guys, my topic had to be related to my gender.) I decided to make up a survey. So if you're female and you would like to help me, you can either post here or you can FReepmail me your responses. Either way is fine. I'd REALLY appreciate it if you can help! Thanks :)
1. When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
Um.. Valid surveys are not conducted by combining results from one severally skewed sample with another, like sweet and sour soup. You try to find a single source thats as close to representational as possible and adjust if necessary.
Lol no problem.
Unfortunately I lack the proper qualification(s) to respond. Good luck with your research...
You are ALWAYS ahead of me Jemian!!!
:-)
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not? All except the BORDER issue. It seems our govt. WANTS to nix the laws against illegals. And George Washington would say: SHAME, SHAME, SHAME-DO YOUR JOB!
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States? We realize the ineptitude of the UN and do not hold them in high regard.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why. YEP. SEE #1
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why? The people of the United States. Because we held our government accountable for the job it was required to do.
When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why.
National Security is a 10 to me. Everything else is irrelevent. What good is the economy if I'm dead. Plus, the safety of my children supersedes EVERYTHING!
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
On some issues I very much agree, but I think he seriously dropped the ball on immigration issues, so I give him a 6.
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
I give the U.N. a 1, if zero was a choice, I'd give it that. The U.N. is mostly comprised of leaders who despise the U.S. and it's policies. They are a worthless organization and it pains me that we give funding to them, and on top of that, they provide funding for birth control and probably abortion, and as a Catholic, I vehemently oppose both.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
I give this one an 8. I am only guessing that security moms played an important role, especially after World Trade Center, Pentagon and Flight 93 murders.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
I give the Republicans a 10 only if you compare them to the Democrats and liberal Republicans, who have done not only nothing, but everything in their power to make the U.S. weak on security. Again, the Republicans have wasted some of their power on their weak immigration issues.
I'm not trying to do a poll. I just need some actual human responses to put in my paper. It's not supposed to be a sample of the population.
from one student to another, of course I'll help you, sweetie. See your FReepmail.
1. When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why. National security is number one in importance to me. I am fearful right now.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not? Actually, I do NOT. I think that when he landed on the carrier and announced "mission accomplished", that's when he should have called it quits. As far as I'm concerned the Iraqi people were on their own at that point.
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States? The United Nations is a useless - yet dangerous - body. It affects our national security by being uselsss. I like John Bolton, though, but I doubt he can do much.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why. Probably, but now so many people are burned out and I'm afraid the "security moms" have turned on President Bush (sad to say).
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why? A strong military. Does anyone remember how President Reagan fought for a "shield" and the dems laughed and called it "Star Wars" and made fun of our President? Well, if only President Reagan had been successful !!!
I wonder if her prof requires her to get immunizations, buy and wear combat gear, and go through the decontamination unit that would be necessitated by crossing the lines into du-land and returning. Or if she can gather a sample of opinion without risking her health, computer virii, and the like. ;-)
Wow, this has turned out so much better than I hoped. Thanks for helping :)
Thank you, EmG. I wish I had included the military in my answer to #5; they are the foundation of our strength in the natural realm, and without them, we would be in a sorry place.
I'll show Mrs. Springman this thread when she gets home from the in-laws.
National Security #10 without that we don't have any of the other things.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
Yes for the most part, it is a fine line and I fear if someone of disrepute every became president it could be a danger to our rights. That being said we MUST have the ablity to track the bad guys.
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
The UN underminds our national security. The law of our land is the Constitution not the UN or international law.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why. Yes, I believe that the security moms did much the same as the soccer moms did in 1996 election.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
It's a mixed bag. Our president has been right on target, but is underminded by the life long politician in both parties that are more concerned about being re-elected than enforcing the laws on the books.

1. When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why. 10. . . eventually, national security is going to be a matter of Muslims coming in and telling us either we convert, or they'll cut our heads off.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not? For the most part, yes, but the borders MUST be secured. There is no excuse--JUST DO IT!
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States? Not in a good way! Too much money spent there, they are not "with" us, and takes too long to "do" anything, and when anything is done, it's just laughable--sanctions, etc. for Iran, for example.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why. Yes. A mom's priority, above all others, is to protect her family.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
There are many more people contributing to the INSECURITY of the United States, including, unfortunately, the President right now. We need to stop worrying about being Politically Correct and get the job done in Iraq, and take a real stand with the border, etc. I don't know all the details of what is happening, but it's pretty easy to see the basics of what need to be done.
10, I suppose, since, when I think about it, what could be more important? Also, it's supposed to be the main function of our government.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
Some, not all. I agree with going after terrorist-supporting nations, but what about the Saudis? I agree that fostering democracy in Islamist hellholes will benefit us, eventually, but it's definitely a long-term proposal. He has sold us out on the border, though, and I pray it doesn't become more costly than the overcrowded schools and bankrupt emergency rooms we currently must deal with.
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
It hinders it. It's a joke. It needs to go. I hear Chavez wants it.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
I don't know if their role was major, but I believe that there was a bloc of women who normally might have voted Dim that didn't due to security concerns. How Kerry got as many votes as he did, based on the positions he took, will never cease to amaze me. It should never have been even remotely close. (I hate the MSM.)
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
US citizens, both those who have volunteered to defend her overseas, and those who swear to defend her here. The Second Amendment is the original Department of Homeland Security.
10! Freedom is the ache in the heart of every human being. It is worth dieing for and worth killing to keep. It is the greatest gift and inheritence I could ever leave to my children.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
I believe in President Bush's foreign policy stategery (not strategy- stategery) in dealing with our national security. Take the battle to their home, keep the fighting over there and spread hope and democracy at the same time- BRILLIANT! President Bush needs to get his rear in gear on protecting us domestically on our borders.
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
United Nations is playing a game of chess, and the Libs are falling for it. The UN expects us to protect the rest of the world, keeps us spread out in every direction, busy playing world cop- and then bash us for it. They know what they are doing. They undermine our safety at every turn, keep us busy trying to fix all the problems that THEY have created due to corruption and lack of any action. They know this weakens us at home and makes us the main target for the evil nations abroad. They cause more terror than they will ever solve, and they WANT IT THAT WAY!
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
I resent the term security mom. It is like calling the color orange- pumpkin. It is a mother's most basic instinct to protect her children (unlss you are an uncivilized demon like Andrea Yates). I mean what is the alternative? A danger-loving, self centered, mother who gambles with her children's lives? The left and the media tries to undermine our motives in voting by calling us this- it makes us sound like we are "emotional" voters. You know- the women who are ruining our society by choosing to raise our kids instead of being CEO's. Yeah- we are stupid and a curse on the angry, man-hating, feminazi movement. And to top it off - YES! WE DO EFFECT ELECTIONS! WOW! Voters that actually have an effect in an election... very dangerous....we just outnumber the dead and disney characters voting....and barely outnumber the illegals.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
OUR BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE MILITARY! They have made and continue to make the ultimate contribution with their blood. Even Rummy and Bush cannot do anything to contribute without the heroes that VOLUNTEER to be the human shields to protect our Freedom, Life, Liberty, and th pursuit of happiness. Land of the Free- BECAUSE of the BRAVE!
ps- I am very proud of you!
1. When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why.
10, The radical type Muslims want to kill us and will stop at nothing. I also believe there are a lot of countries who are jealous of us and they'd be quite amused to see something bad happen to us.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
He's doing a good job outside the US but a very poor job with national security regarding the borders.
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
The are almost completely useless.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
What's a "security mom", if it's a mother feeling to vote Republican, she is keeping her child safer, then yes.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
Every soldier who has fought and/or died to keep this country free, from the Revolutionary War to the current War in Iraq.
It's obvious you're getting about the same response from everyone here, seems like we mostly think alike.
To add to my response #5 . . . The troops in our country and throughout the world have definitely done the most in protecting our country, and God bless each and every one of them, and their families.
well, obviously whoever asked her to take the survey is a Republican too...
any self-respecting Dem would never assign a project and forced discrimination against one of the sexes.....
