Week Seven brought another major upset in the Big Ten and the SEC. Iowa lost to Indiana; Vanderbilt beat Georgia snapping a 53 game losing streak to ranked teams. While this season has been kind of odd in that here have not been very many major upsets, the past two weeks have provided their fair share. The Auburn Florida game lived up to the hype and went down to the last minute with Auburn winning the game. It was not without controversy either, which is another long running story this year. This week features two games that should get top billing. Texas travels to face Nebraska while Clemson hosts Georgia Tech in a battle for ACC supremacy.

(12) Clemson (-7.5) at (13) Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech has the best defense in the ACC. They shut down Notre Dame and have been dominant in each of their other games. Clemson has a chance to really take control of the ACC with a win. Clemson will win this game, but it will be closer than a Touchdown.

Texas A&M comes in after a big win for them against Missouri. The line indicates that people arent buying it quite yet. Im a believer.
Texas A&M 32 Oklahoma St. 25
Record for the year
I'll skip the sob story and just say that if I pick a game one way, you have a better than even chance of being right if you pick it the other way.
117-28 Straight UP
77-64-4 Against the Spread
Got it. Not many good matchups this week. Texas-Nebraska and Clemson-Georgia Tech are the only two matching Top 25 opponents.
It was pointed out that the Longhorns will be facing temperatures in the mid-40s this Saturday with possible rain. This season, Texas has not had to play a game outside their home state until now.
their D isnt THAT bad.
I think the AZ Cardinals and Leinart need Chow more urgently...
Nope, but I think they have a good running game that everyone overlooks.
I think that Nebraska isn't quite there yet, although they are a top 25 team, they are a year away or so.
LOL
That too...
Any idea on why the line is so close on the Nebraska game?
If Nebraska wins it also continues to throw into question BC's gameplan he had against USC. But maybe he knew what he was doing because PC says BC's gameplan is the blueprint teams are using now to compete with them.
nope but Ohio State's offense is that good.
IU doesn't have a prayer at stopping the run and if they put 8 or 9 in the box, Troy Smith and Gonzales and Ginn will eat them alive.
IU doesn't have the athletes on defense to stay in this one.
I'm guessing it's because this is the first true road trip for Texas this year and for Colt McCoy....
Or the only weapon they had.
yeah but you'd think that considering virtually no one outside of Oklahoma St had even heard of the guy before that week, I'm thinking there's another focus on their offense.
I think its because Baylor let up there secondary last week, since NU has both a running and passing game they think it will be a closer score.
For all the pre-season hype about our Buckeye's weak defense, I believe we're ranked 3rd?
That said, we should not take any game lightly, obviously.
I heard that the ONN is broadcasting the game with a one hour delay???
I dont think IU will win, but it think it will be closer than what you posted.
I don't know about a one hour delay...
I don't get ONN anyway though.
I do know they are replaying the game late at night Saturday.
maybe....
it depends on how good BC's offensive gameplan is.
I think if he opens it up and keeps a balanced attack going, it could be a very close game.
But if he comes out uber-conservative like he did against USC, they won't have a shot.
One week at a time, FRiend. We get Mario back (?), run some plays for the other receivers, spread out the offense, stay tight on D, play a good solid game and have a nice, comfortable win at home, cementing our hold on AP #2. Then three weeks of fairly soft opponents (NW, Ball St., IN) where we repeat the process and get Mario slowly and carefully back to 100%. Then on November 18 it all gets utterly serious. The *uckeyes will be ready, and so will we. History will be made. Go Blue!
If you're extremely bored or if Baseball just isn't holding your attention tonight, UNC at Virginia is on ESPN.
Offensively I am not worried, I am more worried about the D, and not the Rush D. The WR corp for TU is not bad, but will they be effective in 30* weather with sleet?
I think they can be...
And I think they need to be, because virtually every one of them has NFL aspirations....
Personally, I think the best rivalry is still Army-Navy, but Ohio State-Michigan isn't too shabby.
