The charges against the Duke lacrosse players should be dropped immediately, and the people demanding the dismissal the loudest and most forcefully should be the very people who have made a living allegedly fighting against racial injustice.
I've said this before, but it's worth saying again: Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton should be in Durham, N.C., today, promising civil disobedience until the charges are dropped and prosecutor Mike Nifong resigns.
Ed Bradley and "60 Minutes" should never be mistaken for Thurgood Marshall and the Supreme Court. Bradley is just a TV reporter and "60 Minutes" is just a TV show, but you couldn't help but be moved by the story they aired Sunday night about the Duke lacrosse rape allegations.
The three accused players gave their first interviews, and two of them claimed they had airtight, documented alibis. The accuser's one-night sidekick, Kim Roberts, seems to have settled on telling the truth rather than trying to spin the story for fame or money. She contradicted several of the statements the accuser gave to police.

I am so praying for video of the whole d*mned thing.... especially closed bathroom door video with Mr. Evans, Mr. Seligman, and Mr. Finnerty on the OUTSIDE of that door in conjunction with video of Mr. Seligman and Mr. Finnerty leaving before the door reopens....

I suspect there is more than one source of video of that night available. Digicam's do video, as do cell phones, of course.
I have long hoped there could be video. It would be just like guys that age to do that kind of thing.
I really did think early, early on I heard somewhere there was video.. But I can't swear to it...
If and when the defense gets a bill of particulars, there's no telling what gets leaked..
And when you think about it, why would the guys be taking 6 or 7 or 8 pictures of the AV on the back porch? It's either more than one person taking pics, or video...
The original released photo of the closeup of the shoe timed at 12:03:57 has always been described as showing the dancers by the door/leaving, with Crystal's right shoe visible. Done to show that she'd left her shoe behind when she left the living room.

We can now see that the photo from which that closeup was taken, does not show the dancers by the door, but shows Kim bending over Crystal laying on the floor.
A different photo shows the dancers by the door. We can tell this by matching up the close up with the photos.
So, either the time stamp is wrong on that close up, or the close up is mislabeled.
Since the superimposed time stamps were put on by NBC, the superimposed time stamp on the photo is probably wrong.
The actual time stamp of the photo is not affected by this. It's only the time stamp that was pasted onto the photo by the media that is in question.

It does not mean much except for the possibility that the photo of the strippers leaving the living room was actually taken a bit later, narrowing the timeline a bit more.
Keep thinking about that picture on the back porch where she's down. How the hell did she fall? From her position, it almost looks like she fell UP the steps. I'll have to think about it a bit more.
I have already looked at that, side by side with the last pic of her standing up... It appears to me that from the pic where she's looking down into her purse to the pic of her lying down, the rug on the second step has been moved on the side closest the house.
I surmised that she stepped down with her bare foot onto the rug and when she went to step with her clod hopper foot to the third step her right foot hung up in the rug and she fell backwards..
The part of the rug where her right foot would have first stepped appears to me to be flipped forward.. And you can see by how far her legs are hanging out that she was at least going to the third step...
Okay, maybe not illegal, but unethical as hell.
I'm pretty sure that somewhere in the CBS story it says she did not fall at all.

And possibly unconstitutional as well. The whole line-up could be unduly suggestive and therefore a violation of the players due process rights.
What is she doing on the ground then?
I guess it's possible she just decided to lay down but she sure is in a strange position. I can't figure out what she's doing up there.
It makes sense the boys would want to tape the dancers they "thought" they were getting.

I was just agreeing with you that Nifong's lineup order was certainly unethical.
